'Counting On' star Jill Duggar accuses dad Jim of treating her 'worse' than 'pedophile brother' Josh

Jill, now 32, delves into the details of her strained relationship with her 58-year-old father, recounting a confrontation with him and her husband, Derick Dillard, 34, regarding finances.
The couple felt they weren't adequately compensated for their contributions to the family's once-popular TLC series, '19 Kids and Counting'.

What did Jill Duggar say about her father Jim Bob Duggar?
It was during this confrontation that Jill made a startling comment to her father, saying, "You treat me worse than you treat my pedophile brother."
Josh, 35, who had previously been convicted of molesting Jill and four other girls, is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence for downloading and possessing child sexual abuse images.
Jill shared excerpts from her memoir, shedding light on the incident when she confronted her father.
She explained how her father's body language changed during the meeting, describing him as "sitting very still, lips tight, eyes locked in a scowl that had been sculpted out of rock," as per Daily Mail.
Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle Duggar, responded to these allegations, stating, "The recent documentary that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love."
She said, "Like other families, ours too has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, just in a very public format. This documentary paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that’s the direction of entertainment these days."

Does Jill Duggar desire to reconcile with her estranged family?
Jill revealed that a mediator was present during her meeting with her parents to address the financial issues.
She expressed hope for restoring family relationships, saying, "We love y'all, and I know we all hope to be able to restore family relationships very soon."
However, Jill's account of the meeting suggests tensions ran high. She detailed how her father reacted with anger and aggression, saying he berated her and accused her of wrongdoing.
She recounted how Jim Bob's words felt like blows as he scolded her, pointing fingers and towering over her.
The memoir also touches on how Jill's involvement in the TLC reality shows, including '19 Kids and Counting' and 'Counting On', took a toll on her marriage with Derick.
She revealed that they often felt obligated to be available for filming, leading to frustration and tension in their relationship.
Moreover, the Duggar family has faced increasing scrutiny and controversies over the years, including revelations about financial matters and the handling of Josh's legal troubles.
Jill's forthcoming book, 'Counting the Cost', promises to reveal more about her family's secrets and her experiences in the public eye.
