LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian has reportedly been catching the attention of Usher lately, and sources claim that it's causing distress to his on-again, off-again partner and mother of his two children, Jenn Goicoechea. The reality star, in fact, had previously admitted that she has a 'flirt' in her life while revealing that she wants to be single for a few years before getting married again,post her long-drawn divorce with Kanye West. She also confessed during an interview with Gwyneth Paltrowthat she still has a 'fantasy in' her head that her fourth marriage will be the 'charm.' But Usher might not fit the bill, not if his partner and mother to two children Goicoechea can help it.
Now, the Hulu star has made no secret of her admiration for Usher over the past year. The duo was first spotted together at the Met Gala on May 1, engaging in conversation alongside Kim's ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Flirting in the limelight
According to insiders who spoke to Radar Online, the 42-year-old reality star was seen "flirting all night" with the 44-year-old singer. Another source stated, “She didn’t even try to hide it when the photographers came around.” However, someone close to the situation argued that the flirting was "totally harmless" and that one conversation was being blown out of proportion.
A steamy serenade
Recently, Kim attended two of Usher's shows during his Las Vegas residency. Her appearance came after she missed one of his shows back in October due to bad weather that prevented her from celebrating her birthday in Sin City. The 'OMG' hitmaker reportedly extended an invitation to the SKIMS founder, saying, "open arms to you whenever you want to come." Kim took him up on the offer last month. During one of the shows, Usher apparently gave Kim a steamy serenade, which allegedly caused tension with Jenn, according to sources. He paused during a performance of "Superstar" to give Kim a shoutout, saying, "What up Kim, you made it."
Kim evidently enjoyed the show so much that she promised on her Instagram Story to return soon, mentioning that her girls were disappointed they couldn't be there. "Finally made it to see @Usher, but my girls are mad they aren't here, sooo I just have to come back with them ASAP," she wrote. Back in October, Kim had expressed on social media the unfortunate circumstances that prevented her from attending the show and a lavish dinner at Vegas' Carbone. She explained, "The plane couldn't land due to the wind, so looks like our Carbone party and @usher concert isn't happening, and we are heading back home." In response, Usher posted on his Instagram Story, extending an invitation for Kim to come back whenever she wanted.
Who is Jenn Goicoechea?
The 'Confessions' singer started dating Goiceochea in 2019 after his split from Grace Harry. The duo became pretty serious early on in their relationship and in 2020 Usher announced that Jennifer was pregnant with their first child together in early 2020. On September 30 of that year, the duo welcomed a baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond.
Usher has himself a working woman as a partner. Goicoechea was the director of the rhythm and soul department at ASCAP, which is a non-profit organization that works to protect its client's musical copyrights. Goicoechea is also the Vice President of A&R at Epic Records. The label represents names like Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, Mariah Carey, and Meghan Trainor among others. The couple also welcomed their second child together, a baby boy named Sire Castrello Raymond back in September 2021.
'You can't blame Jenn for being suspicious'
Despite the rumors, insiders told Radar Online that Usher serenades someone every night during his show and that he insists there's nothing between him and Kim. However, another source acknowledged, "You can't blame Jenn for being suspicious. No woman wants to feel like she's competing with Kim Kardashian."
This comes after the reality TV star recently dropped hints about her dating life in a teaser for 'The Kardashians' on Hulu, where she discussed her standards with Scott Disick. “My friends wanted me to meet someone,” the SKIMS founder told Disick in the clip, released by Hulu on Thursday, June 1. Kardashian, 42, cracked up when Disick, 40, proposed a secret moniker. “Let’s call this guy ‘Fred,'” he said, before asking, “Does he meet the standards?” Kardashian responded, “Oh, so meets the standards!”
During the second season of the series last year, Kim exhibited a joyful demeanor and openly admitted to exchanging text messages with Pete. Their dating journey commenced in October 2021, as the reality star found herself in a relationship with the 'Saturday Night Live' alum. However, after nine months together, the couple decided to part ways.
