Woman claims Steven Tyler assault left her with lifelong injuries, but Internet has one question first
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A second woman has come forward to accuse Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager decades ago.
According to former teenage model Jeanne Bellino's lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the then 27-year-old Tyler molested her "in approximately 1975 when she was approximately 17 years old."
According to Bellino, she only knew Tyler for a single day, during which he assaulted her twice. She is suing him for "gender-motivated violence" and asking the court to grant her unspecified damages.
However, amid the ongoing lawsuit drama Internet users have one valid question as to why Bellino waited for almost 50 years before coming forward with the allegations.

Netizens wonder why the victim is 'bringing this up 50 years later'
Following the allegations against Tyler by the woman, Internet users wondered why Bellino waited for almost 50 years before filing the lawsuit.
One user took to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed, "What is the point of bringing this up 50 years later".
A second user said, "So important that 40 years passed to come forward".
"LOL that was almost 50 years ago! How does your memory work so well lady…," mocked a third X user.
A fourth one said, "It’s literally a HALF CENTURY old allegation," while a fifth X user added, "50 years ago. At what point do we get real here. Good god."
Another one explained, "I can confidently say the type of behavior he is accused of is wrong and should not be acceptable today… while acknowledging a 50 year old allegation with a laundry list of actions that can’t be verified smells a lot like b*******t."

Why did Jeanne Bellino wait almost 50 years to file sexual assault lawsuit against Steven Tyler?
None of the media reports explain why Bellino waited nearly 50 years to disclose the accusations.
As per Daily Mail, Bellino's attorney claimed that following the purported event, their client was given medication and admitted to the hospital.
They contend that even after nearly 50 years, she still needs medicine "to cope with the sexual assault and has suffered long-term physical injury associated with the trauma."
Although the alleged incidents happened over fifty years ago, Bellino in the lawsuit claims to have have "suffered and will continue to suffer, great pain of mind and body, severe and permanent emotional distress, physical manifestations of emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation, physical, personal & psychological injuries."
This case against Tyler was filed over a year after Julia Misley, formerly known as Julia Holcomb, filed a similar action alleging that Tyler had sexually assaulted her as a teenager.
Misley alleged that Tyler used his fame to "groom, manipulate, exploit and sexually assault" her over a period of months.
According to The New York Times, Misley stated in a statement at the time of her lawsuit, "I know that I am not the only one who suffered abuse in the music industry."
"I feel it is time for me to take this stand and bring this action, to speak up and stand in solidarity with the other survivors," Misley added.
Tyler claimed that Misley gave her consent to their sexual relationship when he filed an anti-SLAPP motion in May 2023.
He further asserted that the complaints made by her need to be rejected "because of immunity to Defendant as caretaker/guardian."
