LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The gorgeous and talented Michelle Yeoh is surely one of a kind performer. The 60-year-old actress broke through in the 2000 film 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', it was her portrayal of Evelyn Wang in 'Everything, Everywhere, All At Once' that catapulted her to prominence and earned her first Academy Award. Now, Yeoh is all set to lend her voice to the Airazor character in 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts', which is set to release on June, 09.
The ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ star may be known as an impressive actress but her love life is as impressive. Since 2004, she has been romantically linked with her fiance, Jean Todt, and they’ve continued to share a sweet and loving bond. Before falling in love with Todt, Yeoh was married to a businessman from Hong Kong named Dickson Poon. The couple married in 1988, and during this time, the actress decided to put her acting career on hold to take care of her family. Tragically, their marriage didn’t last long and they decided to part ways just four years later. Following their divorce, Yeoh placed her dating life on the back burner until 2004, when she first met Todt.
Who is Jean Todt?
Born in 1946, Todt, 77, is a native of south-central France and the son of a doctor. Later, he relocated to Paris to attend the École des Cadres School of Economics and Business. Todt was a rally co-driver in the world championships before becoming an executive in the racing industry. His driving career began in 1966, and since then, he has won competitions in the World Rally Championship, the Rally of Portugal, and the Tour de France Automobile Rally. On the charitable front, he is a member of the FIA Foundation for the Automobile and Society's Board of Trustees as well as the United Nations Special Envoy for Road Safety, according to Elle.
How Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt first met?
Yeoh and Todt first met during the Shanghai Grand Prix in 2004 when the actress was doing publicity for Ferrari. And not so surprisingly, the couple instantly fell in love on their very first meeting. "I knew immediately that she was my dream woman, even before I met her. It was destiny. She was the woman I had been waiting for,” Todt told German outlet BILD.

Speaking about their first meeting with You magazine, Michelle said she fell in love with Todt after he took a stand for her. “A guy was trying to clear the stage and was being rude, so Jean went up to him and talked him down. He’s about my height, and the fact that he could talk down someone bigger than him was my first impression of him – and a good one,” she said. The lovebirds didn’t wait long for their stars and got engaged a year later. Jean got down on one knee and popped the question in 2005.
Are Yeoh and Todt planning a wedding?
Although they have yet to say “I do,” Michelle recently revealed that they were thinking of finally tying the knot in 2022. “Thinking!” she said while also indicating they’ve both been too busy to plan the kind of ceremony they want. “He counts the number of days rather than the years,” she said about Jean. “I’ll ask him, ‘What is the present for 6,725 days?’ ” she added. Yeoh also told Guardian that they are being threatened to get married. “We’ve been threatening to get married for such a long time. Sometimes we say, ‘Wait, didn’t we already do it?’” she said. Yeoh doesn’t have any children of her own but she is a devoted mother to Nicolas Todt, whom Jean had from his previous marriage.
