Who is Hayley Gripp? Harvey Weinstein rape accuser says she stabbed his genitals with broken nails to escape
A woman by the name of Hayley Gripp has claimed that she bloodied Harvey Weinstein’s genitals when he allegedly tried to rape her in a suite at the Beverly Hilton in 2012. The alleged victim was reportedly only 19 at the time of the incident. The lawsuit states that she injured his scrotum while fighting him off.
The complaint filed on Friday, March 26, in California Superior Court in Los Angeles states that the disgraced producer forced himself on her and she kept the alleged violent sexual encounter to herself. She said she wasn’t even aware he was a “big producer” until she saw him in the news in 2017.

According to Page Six, Gripp is an aspiring actress. She reportedly works as a certified advocate for children who suffer trauma and with special needs. Her Instagram bio describes her as a “Hollywood Escapee. Survivor. Anxiety Warrior”. It also says she is a COPAA advocate and co-founder of Venture Media Girls, a food and lifestyle page on Instagram.
She was reportedly diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, according to her lawyer Eric Lerner. “This lawsuit is about Ms Gripp reclaiming her power, becoming a survivor, not a victim, and getting restitution for the sexual crimes perpetrated against her. She has real damages from this that are lasting,” the lawyer told Post. “Harvey Weinstein along with those who helped him perpetrate these crimes of sexual assault and attempted rape against Ms Gripp must be held responsible for ruining her life,” Lerner added.
The then-LA resident claims that she was at a hotel lobby when was approached by an associate of Weinstein’s, who after a brief conversation invited her to “breakfast with industry guests who were in town for the Britannia Awards”. She reportedly told Gripp, you need to “fuel up” before “big casting”. She then allegedly told Gripp that she needs to meet her friend, a “big producer” in a hotel room. She also suggested that he could help her career and it was “worth missing the casting”.
When Gripp entered the room, according to the lawsuit, the producer introduced himself as “Dom” and handed her a glass of wine. When she said she wasn’t 21, he allegedly told her, “It’s rude not to accept a drink from someone who feeds you and shows you hospitality.” The lawsuit says Gripp experienced a “brief blackout” after having half a glass of the drink and woke up to see Weinstein rubbing himself against her while she was pinned to a coffee table. “You are so wet and tight; you are a virgin aren’t you? Pretend I’m someone like Zac Efron,” Weinstein reportedly told Gripp.
The papers further state, “Ms. Gripp did not realize Weinstein’s fingers were inside her vagina until she felt the cold metal of his watch against her skin. Weinstein then held Ms Gripp down with one hand, took Ms Gripp’s genital fluids, and rubbed it on his exposed genitalia, proceeding to masturbate with his other hand.”
“To escape his hold, Ms Gripp began flailing her arms and, in doing so, broke her acrylic nail against the coffee table. Ms Gripp then stabbed Weinstein on the bottom part of his scrotum with her sharp broken nail. Weinstein let out a quiet scream and grabbed her hand, inadvertently causing her nail to move up and inward, deeper into his scrotum,” the court documents cited.
Gripp reportedly fled when a bleeding Weinstein went for a towel. The woman who had taken Gripp to the suite is said to have told her, “What happened in there is your fault because of your Tourette syndrome. You are crazy,” and threatened that “she would end up in a mental hospital” if she told anyone about what happened. Addressing the alleged assault on her client, Lerner told NBC News, “She is entitled to have a jury of her peers decide the merits of her case. Juries almost exclusively decide these types of cases.”
