Who is Hans? 'AGT: Fantasy League' contestant suffers serious injuries after freak fall on cruise

Hans's comedy, live music, and high-energy dance routines have been loved by Prime Ministers, Princesses, paupers, paper boys, and more. After Hans appeared on ' America’s Got Talent' in 2018, he went on to make his cabaret debut titled, 'Hans: Like a German' at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2019.
The Conedian's cabaret received critical acclamations and the Best Cabaret award, followed by a nationwide tour. Hans's show became widely popular among the audience which led him to release his second production, 'Haus of Hans: Disco Spektakulär'.
Notably, the Australian cabaret star's second production became the highest-selling comedy cabaret show at the festival and the highest-grossing South Australian production. He also bagged the coveted Best Cabaret award for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, in August 2022, Hans suffered numerous injuries after he fell from a stage on a cruise in Europe. He was airlifted from Turkey to London for treatment after he fell more than 13 feet into the orchestra pit while performing on stage.
He took to his social media and shared a video showing emergency crews at the place of the incident. He explained in the caption that the accident 'resulted in a shattered foot and some slight spinal damage.'
Hans shares an update on his spinal and foot injuries
Hans underwent extensive surgery on his right foot after his terrifying accident. However, he shared his injury update after six months.
The cabaret star took to his Instagram and shared a photo from the hospital. Alongside the photo, Hans penned, "Cheers to the kids at Burnside Hospital for the overnight staycation."
He added, And for those who have always said I have had a screw loose… Well now you’re right. 20 of them along with 4 plates. And I got to keep them 😂😂."
Hans continued, "6 months on from my incident and I’m happy to be moving into this next phase a little earlier than expected and to get life out of this holding pattern. Watch out… the bitch is almost back!"
Hans serves as 'Australia Got Talent' Season 9 guest judge
Hans served as a guest judge during 'Australia's Got Talent' Season 9 Semifinals. He pushed his Golden Buzzer for opera/rock singer Jennifer Anderson. Another act which he critically acclaimed was fellow Season 13 act Lioz Shem Tov, who was the second act to move on that night.
Hans rose to fame following his time on 'AGT' Season 13. He performed Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary,' during his audition and earned a 'yes' from Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.
Meanwhile, his stirring performance on The Weather Girls' 'It's Raining Men' advanced him through to the Quarterfinals. Unfortunately, he was eliminated from the competition during the Week 3 Quarterfinals.
He returned for 'AGT: The Champions' Season 2, where he finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.
Which dream team does Hans join in 'AGT: Fantasy League'?
After his multiple stints at 'America's Got Talent', Hans is all set to set the stage on fire with his performance in 'AGT: Fantasy League'. Although Hans has yet to reveal which dream team he has joined, he did share a photo of Simon Cowell.
He took to his Facebook and shared a photo of himself as well as 'AGT' judge Simon. He teased in the caption, "Less than two weeks till IM BACK BABY!!! Tune into “AGT Fantasy League” on Jan 1 and get ready for me to give you the perfect New Years Hangover Cure!!"
He asked his followers, "Which judges team should I be on???" However, there are speculations that Hans has joined Heidi Klum's team.
'AGT: Fantasy League' is scheduled to premiere on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 8 pm ET on ABC.
