Who is Jacksepticeye’s girlfriend Gab Smolders? YouTuber says Dutch gamer is ‘best thing to happen’ to him

Irish YouTuber Jacksepticeye, whose real name is Sean McLoughlin, best known for his vlogs and comedy series ‘Let’s Play’ turns a year older on February 7. The 31-year-old enjoys over 13.8 billion views on his videos and has gained more than 26 million subscribers on YouTube. While he has carved a niche for himself in the virtual world as a social media sensation, McLoughlin’s personal life has equally intrigued his fans and followers. 

Unlike other celebrities who shy away from talking about their romantic partners, McLoughlin hasn’t hesitated to tell the world how much he admires his girlfriend. For the unversed, he is in a relationship with 32-year-old Dutch gaming YouTuber Gab Smolders, who he describes as the “best things that ever happened” to him. 

Who is Gab Smolders?

Gab, whose real name is Evelien Smolders, is a Dutch gaming YouTuber, best known for playing horror games. She streams regularly on Twitch. She has collaborated with famous YouTuber and gamers including, John Wolfe, MrKravin, Suzy Berhow, Arin Hanson, Stefanie Joosten and TheRPGMinx. Her fans occasionally refer to themselves as “Gabbers”. According to Fandom, she was previously married to a YouTuber called TaiyouInc, whose real name was Pyke. 

Smolders has over 560,000 subscribers on YouTube and her videos have clocked over 64 million views. Meanwhile, she uses her Instagram handle to share posts from her personal life. On December 25, 2020, she posted a picture with McLoughlin and their cat and wrote, “My little family”. 

A look at their sweet romance 

McLoughlin and Smolders first opened up about their relationship in March 2019 with a Twitter post that melted fans' hearts. The YouTuber shared a picture with Smolders and simply wrote in his caption "Happy", getting his followers super excited. 

On April 8, 2019, he shared another Tweet, in which he shared that he has been smiling "a lot more lately" because of Gab. He wrote, "Just want to say that @GirlGamerGab is the best thing that’s happened to me in a while! She’s filled me with so much confidence and love for myself. If you’ve seen me smile a lot more lately, it’s because of her!"

McLoughlin was previously in a three-year relationship with YouTuber Signe Hansen, who is known online as Wiishu. The duo confirmed their split in October 2018. 

Wishes pour in for Jacksepticeye

Fans and followers of McLoughlin are showering him with birthday wishes as he turns a year older. McLoughlin recently announced that he would be taking a break after his father passed away. He shared a tweet on January 28, informing his fans that he "wont be ding anything for a while."
