Sources familiar with the situation reveal that Lilly Jay was completely caught off guard by this development.

The situation is quite distressing as Jay and Slater were high school sweethearts and have a baby together. A confidential insider shared with Page Six that Lilly Jay is devastated by the turn of events. "It’s horrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She’s a wreck,” the source said.

Ethan Slater and Lilly Jay had been happily married since 2018 and celebrated their 10-year anniversary as a couple just last November. Curiously, the timing of their breakup coincides with the past year spent by Slater and Grande filming 'Wicked' together in London. It has led some to speculate that Grande's involvement might have played a role in the sudden split, despite no apparent issues between Ethan Slater and Lilly Jay. According to production sources, Jay, aged 32, and their baby visited the set of 'Wicked,' and there have been reports of Grande, aged 30, spent time with the couple.

Lilly Jay has an impressive background and a strong commitment to advocacy. Since 2017, she has been working as a psychology lab assistant and clinical psychology extern at a lab in Menorah Park. In addition to her work in psychology, Lilly is a photography editor at Girls Leadership, where she focuses on empowering girls in kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them find their voice through active leadership.
