Who is Emilia Clarke's rumored beau Tom Turner? All about the assistant director who dated Rebecca Ferguson
'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke was spotted with assistant director Tom Turner as the two bonded over their love for dogs. The couple was spotted in London walking Emilia's pet pooch Ted in a park. As the pictures started floating on the internet, there were rumors that the two are in love as they seem to be totally smitten with each other.
A source close to the couple told The Sun, "Emilia and Tom have really hit it off. He’s already pretty smitten with her and sees a long-term future between them." Hinting on his last relationship with Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson, the insider also added, "He used to date Rebecca but they split because she was a bit older than him. He’s used to hanging out with A-listers because of his job working on high-profile films and his social set."
Ever since the news started doing the rounds online, fans have been wondering who is Tom Turner?
Turner completed his Bachelor of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Oxford Brookes University. On an alumni page, he wrote he has worked as the third assistant director and he coordinates the set with the first assistant director. In the same introductory note, he wrote, "Success in the film industry comes down to three factors, working very hard, knowing the right people, making the most of the contacts you have and lastly a bit of luck."
Some of his big Hollywood projects include 'Fury', 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', 'Charlie’s Angels' and Disney's 'Cruella'. That's not all, he was also an assistant director for 'Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation'. Tom has previously dated Ferguson and the duo met in 2015 while shooting for 'Mission Impossible 5'. However, the couple soon parted ways. Just like their relationship, the couple kept their breakup private too.
Meanwhile, Emilia split from her director-boyfriend Charlie McDowell last year. Back in March, the HBO star said that she struggled with dating while being in the spotlight. When she was quizzed about "the one" in a 2017 interview with Harper's Bazaar, she said, "There is ‘the one’ for particular parts of your life — you change as you get older. So when I was in my teens, there was ‘the one’ for my teens, for sure, and then, you know, there’s ‘the one’ for the next time of your life. There’s this Buddhist philosophy that says you can only really understand yourself through your interactions with other people."
While there is not much information on when Tom and Emilia started bonding, paparazzi have spotted the two stealing smiles during their long walks.
