Who is Dr Lee Gause? Smile Design Manhattan dentist fixes Michael Strahan's tooth gap, Internet dubs it a 'glitch'
Michael Strahan has said goodbye to his iconic tooth gap and the Internet says it has to be 'a glitch in the matrix'. Right before April Fools Day, the 'Good Morning America' host shared a clip of getting his tooth gap fixed with the caption ‘I did it.’ The closing gap process was done by Smile Design Academy with the help of Dr Lee Gause and Strahan’s 1000 watt smile only proves that he is satisfied with the results.
While some users are still not ready to believe that Strahan’s teeth gap is gone, calling it an April Fools trickery, others are of the opinion that Strahan fixing the gap is like a glitch in the matrix that should not occur at all. Whatever be the case, a video shared by the NFL legend proves how much he loves the end results as he says "I love it! Holy f**k!"

Who is Dr Lee Gause?
Dr Lee Gause, the founder of the Smile Design Manhattan, DDS, has successfully solidified his place as a 'clinical leader' in cosmetic dentistry techniques, a one-of-a-kind expertise that he lends to the practice in New York City. According to the official site, Dr Gause began his professional education as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, graduating in 1998 with a bachelor of science in biology. Intending to pursue a career in dentistry after earning his undergraduate degree, Dr Gause enrolled at the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC, where he earned his doctor of dental surgery in 2004. The Manhattan Project was initiated a year after and over the period of time, Dr Gause has dedicated his time perfecting cosmetic dentistry techniques such as porcelain veneers, Invisalign® and dental implants.
How Smile Design Manhattan fixed Michael Strahan's megawatt smile
A video documentary of the 'Goodbye Gap' project shows how Strahan got his teeth fixed. In the video Strahan broods how his friends and family members said 'don't do it' but the 49-year-old TV host gushed, 'I gotta do what I wanna do, that's why I am here' and referred to Dr Gause at the 'best at this, hence he trusts him with it. The video at the end shows his tooth gap fixed as if it never existed in the first place.
Strahan was against fixing his tooth gap
Strahan previously spoke about how much he is against the gap to be fixed. He shared once in 2012, “There’s so much pressure to be perfect. You can fix everything now. For me, I made the conscious effort to say, ‘This is who I am.’ I’m not perfect. I don’t want to try to be perfect.” Hence, the act of Strahan fixing the gap feels like something that was not a part of the plan, says the Internet.
A user shared, "Michael Strahan closing his gap is going to glitch something in the matrix. I’m not sure what it is yet, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough!" Another quipped, "I feel like Michael Strahan getting his gap fixed is a April Fools joke like AD shaving his unibrow!" A Twitter user wrote, "Michael strahan got his gap closed? yea a natural disaster coming u not supposed to fw the matrix like that!"
