A Hollywood producer was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Wednesday, October 28, four months after he was charged with drugging, abducting and raping four women, police said.

David Guillod who produced Charlize Theron’s 'Atomic Blonde' and Netflix’s 'Extraction' starring Chris Hemsworth, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman during an “evening meeting” on October 21, 2020, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The 53-year-old producer was out on bail at the time, on previous sexual assault charges related to four alleged offenses that occurred between 2012 and 2015 in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties.

In 2017, he stepped down as chief executive of Primal Wave Entertainment shortly after 'Ted' actress Jessica Barth publicly accused him of raping her five years earlier. Barth is one of the four victims whose cases are being pursued by the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office. In early 2019, 'Criminal Minds' actress AJ Cook also sued Guillod, her former manager, for $1.6M, for not disclosing his “sexual predator” history. Cook claimed that appointing Guillod hurt her reputation as an advocate for women.

Guillod faces up to 21 years in jail if convicted of the total 11 felony charges, which include rape, kidnap for rape and rape of a drugged victim, prosecutors have said.

As soon as the news of the arrest came to light, people started reacting to it, as LA crime journalist Richard Winton tweeted, "Breaking: Hollywood producer David Guillod behind such movies as Atomic Blonde accused of new recent sex assault and was arrested by #lapd while out on bail for series of rapes stretching back to 2012." To which one Internet user replied saying, "I stand with @_jessicabarth_. So proud to know this brave woman and to have had her as a contributor to #RightGirlMusical. #silencebreaker #survivors"

Calling Guillod a "predator", another one wrote, "This man is a predator. His survivors need justice. Our industry must stop hiring rapists and abusers." While another one wrote, "This predator deserves to be behind bars. I’m so sad + angry that this happened. AGAIN. @_jessicabarth_ told the truth about #DavidGuillod + has not stopped pursuing justice for herself and all of his victims since. Enough."

Sharing the news, another one said, "Pretty disturbing—but nothing out of the ordinary when you’re Caucasian and had already been tried for the same & they just let you walk free. The police went to his house — not a jail and he was not shot at or bruised while getting incarcerated. Please put this guy away forever!" Another shocked person wrote, "This guy admitted to kidnapping and rape less than 4 years ago and still produced Atomic Blonde. WTF?"
