Emmy-winning show 'Schitt's Creek' is once again in the news. The show's actor, writer, producer and director Daniel Levy has added another impressive achievement in his resume as he has just made it to the list of People's Sexiest Man Alive. But as the news of his new "achievement" comes to light, people are wondering, who is he dating.

The creator of the popular show, which got over 15 nominations for the Emmys 2020 and bagged nine awards, Levy will surely make a strong Tinder profile, as the 37-year-old actor is currently single. When the show first started airing in 2015, Levy appeared in an interview with the Out Magazine, where he revealed, “I've been single for a bit. It's a strange thing." “I don't know whether it's an excuse that I'm telling myself or whether it's just what it is, but I feel like this job has consumed my life," he added.

“I hope that I can find someone when it's all done, or when things are a little bit more smooth,” Levy continued. “But the eye has really been on making sure that the show is as good as it can be, so that I can be employed for another year." He later added, “When the time comes and all the stars are aligned, someone else will come in and hopefully we'll call it a day in the love life department."

In an interview by the Associated Press in April 2020, during the lockdown triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, Levy did reveal that he was connecting with a very special someone: his dog, Redmond. "This is the first time that he and I have been together for a very long extended period of time. So it's been a very nice thing to do to reconnect with my dog." Not just this, he doesn't shy away from sharing his love for his dog on social media. "This form of sexy is a niche market, but I appreciate that you're recognizing it," Levy said in a video interview for the magazine after making it to the list, on Tuesday, November 17.

Levy, who plays the character of Daniel Rose in the show, is a gay character, romancing with Noah Red's character, Patrick, to whom he gets married in the show. “We knew that it was going to be a wedding — and that the stakes were high," Levy told Entertainment Weekly. While appearing on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live', he revealed that his acting skills were so good that even his mother asked him if he was gay.

"She did. My mom asked me over for lunch one day and I said, 'Yes.' She almost knew. My mom and I have a very close relationship in that sense and it almost felt like she knew that I was ready," he revealed in the interview. His father, Eugene Levy, who is the lead in the show, also appeared in the talk show with him and said, that he and his wife, Deborah Divine, knew their son was gay before he came out to them. "We knew for the longest time. ... We were waiting and then mom couldn't wait any longer."
