LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bronny James, son of basketball icon LeBron James, was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed during a workout in Los Angeles on Monday, July 24. “Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital," said a family statement, CNN reports. 

Fortunately, the 18-year-old is now out of ICU and is in stable condition. The family statement added, "He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes." Now, besides the reports of Bronny's sudden health scare, news related to his personal life, including his relationship with a female athlete named Peyton Gelfuso, has also come to light. 

Who is Peyton Gelfuso?

According to The Sun, Peyton Gelfuso is an athlete just like her boyfriend Broony and his father LeBron James. Peyton and Bronny first came across each other when they were students at Sierra Canyon School. The USC Trojans player was a part of the school's 2023 graduation class and Peyton graduated a year before that. 

Bronny's partner played volleyball, tennis, and soccer during her high school years at Sierra Canyon. After completing the graduation, Bronny went on to enroll at The University of Southern California and Peyton enrolled at Southern Methodist University. The female athlete even has more than 54,000 followers on Instagram. 

Who are Peyton Gelfuso's parents?

Peyton Gelfuso was born to David and Heidi Gelfuso and is reported to be the youngest of their two children. She has an older brother named Parker and both were raised in the city of Los Angeles. The parents seemingly maintain low-key and limited information is available about them as they keep their lives highly private. 

The Sierra Canyon graduate seldom uploads posts about her family on social media, despite being popular on social space. David Gelfuso holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Advanced Motion Controls. The Camarillo-based company specializes in the production of top-quality servo drives and motor controllers renowned for their exceptional performance. David graduated from UCLA in 1992, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity during his time at the university.
