LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The family of an elderly nun, who tragically died while opposing Katy Perry's acquisition of her convent residence in LA, has expressed deep displeasure over the singer's attempt to displace an 83-year-old veteran from his $15 million California house.

According to information obtained by DailyMail.com, it was in July 2020 when 83-year-old Carl Westcott entered into a real estate agreement to sell his residence to the singer. Westcott asserted that he was under the influence of opioids and painkillers due to significant back surgery at the time of signing.

In the eyes of the nun's family, Katy's actions are perceived as evil. When news circulated about Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's intent to remove Carl Westcott from his Santa Barbara home, Brian Holzman, the nephew of the late Sister Catherine Rose Holzman, didn't hesitate to voice his strong opinion.

'It sounds like my aunt is at it again all about money and greed!'

Brian labeled Katy as an evil woman, attributing his aunt's death in 2018 to the stress she experienced while opposing the convent's sale to the singer. He lamented, "It sounds like my aunt again. All about money and greed!"

For three years, Carl has been entangled in a legal battle with Katy and Orlando. This conflict arose after he signed documents for the sale of his house only three days after undergoing a grueling six-hour back surgery.

Bernie Gudvi, the representative for the celebrity couple, paid an unexpected visit to the recovering veteran's home, presenting them with a written purchase offer for their expansive estate - an eight-bedroom, eleven-bathroom property.

This unusual incident was initially reported by the Daily Mail. As the effects of his painkillers wore off, Carl, afflicted with Huntington's Disease, regretted his decision. Unfortunately, the agent representing the couple held him to the contract and threatened legal action.

Carl, who wishes to spend his remaining years in his home, now faces a lawsuit due to his age, prior back problems, recent surgery, and frequent opiate usage affecting his mental capacity.

Despite their substantial wealth - with estimated net worths of $330 million and $40 million respectively - Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom pursued a forceful approach to push Westcott into completing the sale.

Regrettably, Carl's advanced illness prevents him from attending upcoming legal proceedings. However, his family remains determined to seek justice against Katy and Orlando.

In a separate instance, Sister Catherine, in her late eighties, passed away during a court hearing related to her dispute with the "Fireworks" singer over the sale of their 8-acre hillside property, where the Sisters of Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of Blessed Virgin Mary had resided since the 1970s.

Undeterred, Sisters Catherine and Rita Callanan steadfastly contested the Archdiocese and Katy Perry. Despite launching a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $51,000 in donations to support their cause, they were unable to prevent the sale, as their case was rejected by the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Sister Rita expressed her perspective to the Daily Beast in 2018, stating, "Katy Perry seems accustomed to having whatever she desires; money is everything to her and she will do anything to get what she wants."

Holzman commented, "She said in one report that she sold her soul to the devil, so this does not surprise me one bit. I'm not a fan of Katy Perry, that's all I can say."

He concluded with a poignant statement, "She will have to answer for it one day," alluding to divine judgment.
