Who is Al Roker’s favorite movie hero? ‘Today’ host changes his appearance for boat parade
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Today’ host Al Roker has whipped out a new appearance for his followers recently. The 62-year-old weatherman dressed up as his favorite movie hero, Indiana Jones with his wife Deborah Roberts, and Nick following Al’s lead. The Roker family celebrated the release of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ by channeling their inner Harrison Ford on their boat in upstate New York.
Al is a long-time fan of the 'Indiana Jones' franchise and never misses a chance to dress as his favorite action and movie hero, Harrison Ford. Al Roker and family were attending an annual boat parade where all three members of the family decided to don the iconic attire of Indy as Deborah documented their day out on her social media.
‘They totally look the part’
Al paid his homage to the character by donning a sharp leather jacket and fedora as he drove the boat while accessorizing with shades and an expression that screamed business. He was accompanied by his son who matched with his dad and had a whip in his hand just like Indiana Jones. Deborah wore the famous fedora and sported a great Indy look as well. The gang even pulled up a poster on their boat that read Indiana Jones and the lake crusade, taking a fun jibe at the iconic franchise.
Deborah captured the moments and later shared them with her followers on Instagram. She captioned the photos, “Weekend moments. It’s the 48th annual Queechy Lake boat parade. And since @alroker is a die-hard Indiana Jones fan, we had to indulge. And fortunately, no bad guys turned up on the route.” Fans happily responded to the family’s outing dressed as Indiana Jones on Deborah’s post. One fan commented on Al's son post, "He is looking like a young Mr Roker.” Another praised, "They totally look the part! Have fun," while a third said, “Ok, this just made me smile so much! Al and Nick are so fun!”
Al Roker messes up a line from the movie
Al recently went to a restaurant where he ordered a plate of cannoli. He clicked a photo of it and posted it on his Instagram with the caption, “Did someone once say, 'Take the gun leave the cannoli?' They must have eaten at @arthurandsons.” However, the fans later corrected his mistake. Al had messed up a quote from the movie ‘Godfather’ which was original, “Leave the gun, take the cannoli.” Fans pointed out his blunder and corrected him in the comments.
