The recent episode of 'RHOSLC' ended with a cliffhanger featuring Heather Gay with a huge black eye leaving fans curious about the story behind it

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: If you thought Jen Shah's trial and Lisa Barlow's rumored affairs would take center stage on 'Real Housewives of Salt lake City' Season 3, you may want to reconsider it. The recently aired episode of the Bravo show ended with a cliffhanger featuring Heather Gay sporting a huge black eye leaving all the fans curious about the story behind it.

After teasing fans with the escalating tension between cousins/ best friends Whitney Rose and Heather thanks to the rumors about Lisa, the showrunners managed to keep the audience hooked by showing Heather's bruised eye in the mid-season trailer. Just moments before the trailer ended with Heather taking off her glasses and revealing her bruised eye to an alarmed Meredith Marks, we are shown security footage of someone attempting to get into Heather's house in the middle of the night, and the housewife opening the door.

What happened to Heather Gay's eye?

Unfortunately, Heather and all her fellow housewives have been very careful about not revealing any clues on the story behind the housewife's black eye. So we will just have to watch 'RHOSLC' Season 3 to get to the bottom of the story. In the meanwhile, a clip of Heather declaring she doesn't remember what happened to her eye to Gizelle Bryant and the other ladies during her stint on 'Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip' began doing the rounds on the internet. 

While many fans seemed skeptical to believe Heather's story about not remembering who gave her the black eye, in the meanwhile, many began weaving theories about it. Some fans wondered if Heather was a victim of attempted robbery, and others speculated Whitney's role in it. Considering the rising tension between the cousins, many fans believe Whitney may have punched her co-star in a fit of fury. In the meanwhile, there are a few fans who think Heather may have hurt herself by tripping or falling over something. Either way. Heather's black eye seems to have stolen the show this season as fans flooded Twitter with tweets speculating about the housewife's black eye.
