SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: In July 2022 'Real Housewives of Salt lake City' star Jen Shah shocked the world when she plead guilty to the wire fraud case against her. In March 2021, the reality star and her assistant Stuart Smith were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and also a conspiracy to commit money laundering.

So, when the recently aired episode of 'RHOSLC' featured Jen sitting down with her mother and crying her eyes out claiming she was an innocent victim, fans were far from impressed with the housewife's actions. Jen cried about how her family was getting affected and bullied due to the allegations against her and even revealed that she contemplated suicide due to the circumstances she was put in. After watching Jen unload her emotional baggage on her poor mother while claiming her innocence when in reality she had pleaded guilty before the court, 'RHOSLC' fans had some very strong feelings about the whole scene.

Jen, 48, had previously pleaded not guilty in April 2021. She changed her stance to guilty earlier this year. The housewife could face a prison sentence of up to 14 years, aside from the $6.5 million she agreed to forfeit and to pay restitution on almost $9,5 million. Jen told the court, "knew it was wrong, many people were harmed and I’m so sorry." She admitted that she “agreed with others to commit wire fraud” and “knew it misled” victims, who were mostly over the age of 55. When asked if she knew what she was doing was wrong and illegal, she replied, “Yes, your honor.”

'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 3 airs every Wednesday at 9/8c on Bravo.
