SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Trans activist Dylan Mulvaney was trolled recently after she dressed up as the character, 'Eloise'. She wore a white button-down shirt, a black skirt with black suspenders, white knee socks, and a big pink bow. Mulvaney has been popular with her transformation videos on TikTok and has more than a million followers.

Kay Thompson wrote the 'Eloise' book series in the 1950s. The story of the book revolves around a girl who lives in the Plaza Hotel in New York City with her nanny and pets. In the video, she can be seen saying, “I’m Eloise. I am six. I’m a city child. I live at the Plaza Hotel, which is huge and wonderful, and très élégant, especially at Christmastime.” Meanwhile, she was recently invited to the White House to have a discussion along with President Joe Biden on trans rights in the country.

Who are Dylan Mulvaney's Parents?

Mulvaney's parents are James Mulvaney and Donna. Mulvaney was born on December 29, 1996. Her father was featured on various portals including CBS News, and Inspire More on his cookie business. James was an addict and it was through getting engaged in making cookies, he moved out of addiction in his life. "Dylan was just a baby when his dad gave up drugs and alcohol for good. James wanted to be a better father to his son, and he needed some kind of outlet to help him cope with his feelings and cravings," claimed Inspire More. Mulvaney once said, "He makes 500 of them a week, and he's never sold any of them. He just gives them out to random strangers on the street or the beach." James, on the other hand states, "It's been fun just being the cookie man," James said. "You can surely be known for a lot of worse things."

Mulvaney tried to come out to her mother, Donna, who is a homemaker when she was young. She said in an interview with Girl Boss, “I finally asked myself these questions about gender,” she said. “I had never asked myself those dark questions because when I was four, I tried coming out to my mom as a girl, but it just wasn’t a thing then. Being trans was very taboo. I come from a very conservative part of California—and not even to my family's fault, it just wasn't really in the cards for me. Then, during the pandemic, I was back at home living with my family and asking myself, ‘Dylan, do you feel like a boy?’ It was really during that period of unemployment that I finally asked myself, ‘Who am I without this career?"

How did Dylan Mulvaney's family accept her transformation journey?

Mulvaney detailed regarding the Day 73 episode of her transformation journey, where she had a short exchange with Dad on Entertainment online, "My dad is traveling right now in French Polynesia, and he introduced himself to a young girl and he said, "I'm Jim Mulvaney," and she asked, "Are you related to Dylan Mulvaney?" He said, "Yes, that's my son." She said, "You mean your daughter?" And he said, "Oh, yes, yes, that's what I meant." Then this fan started talking about how much she loves my content. To hear a stranger talking about me in such a positive way as his daughter was really impactful for him. Then he called me and was like, "Hey, I love you. I'm so proud to have you as my daughter." We don't get to see each other all that often but I think he's very much ready to see me, as girl Dylan."

Further, she added, "I come from a super-conservative family and a very Catholic upbringing, so I'm this wild card of the family. But ultimately they've all voiced to me that they see what I'm doing is for good. And they know that, no matter my gender or what I'm doing on the Internet, my heart and intentions are good. One of my family's biggest concerns was that I wouldn't find success as a trans person or I wouldn't find love, or I would face quite a bit of hate. What my family is seeing now is that the world has cast this safety blanket over me and is choosing to cherish me. So my family is like, "We don't have to worry about Dylan as much as we did before" because they see that what I'm doing is goodness."

'It is Pervert Performance Art...'

The Internet quickly reacted to her 'Eloise' roleplay. A user said, "We need to have a serious conversation about mental health in this country." Another claimed, "Remember, Biden felt it important to meet this guy." Another wrote, "Let’s do all of us a favor and not give any more visibility or press for that thing." A tweet claimed, "He's on the worldwide attention tour." A user wrote, "It is Pervert Performance Art..." A tweet read, "Desperate for attention much?." Another wrote, "Here’s #dylanmulvaney being cringe again. Apparently he thinks it’s cool to parade around in an #Eloise costume which is a character that is beloved by many little girls including me when I was little. #transwomenaremen #womensrights #womanface #groomer."
