OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS: Popular YouTuber Colby Brock, best known for his channel 'Sam and Colby' revealed he was recently diagnosed with cancer. The 26-year-old social media sensation penned a lengthy note about how he found out he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. In addition, he also urged his fans to get themselves regularly tested.
"I was told I have a mass in my ball that was 95% likely to be cancer. Obviously, the 'cancer' word is scary, and I’m still in disbelief about the whole situation but my scans showed that I caught it early," he wrote on Instagram. Colby's massive fan following of 2.3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and 1.1 million Instagram followers were heartbroken by the devasting news, wishing him and his family all the support.

The social media star lives with his parents Layne Brock and Lesa Brock and his brother Gage Brock. Colby picks his performance skills from his father Layne, who is a guitarist and often performs in the clubs of Kansas City. However, professionally his father works as a software engineer, according to Family Tron. He pursued software development in college and was later hired by the Cerner Corporation in Kansas City. Layne has been working with them since 1999.
Colby describes his mother Lesa as the most beautiful woman in his life. Not much information about Colby's mom is available as she seems to like keeping her life very private and off social media. But she does pose with her son for Instagram snaps. Colby and his family reside in Overland Park, Kansas.

Colby shared his life update on various social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. He told fans that he had gone to see his doctor as he was experiencing pain in his “lower pelvis/left testicle.” Scans and blood work showed he had early-stage testicular cancer. He told his followers, “Yesterday I went to surgery to get my cancer ball removed, so the hard part is already over. I should know here in a couple weeks if I need further treatment like chemo/radiation.”
He further added, "But to my young kings out there - check your balls. Testicular cancer is VERY curable if caught early. I would have never suspected to have cancer at 26. (actually ladies this is a great reminder to check yourself too, don’t wait until it’s too late if you feel anything unordinary!). I’ve been staying so positive and optimistic about this whole situation, taking one day at a time.. so please try not to worry about me! Even after surgery yesterday I’ve been in great spirits. I’m going to be okay I promise. I’m the one ball wonder, quality over quantity baby. #f**kcancer".
