Here's why Bella Poarch chooses to stay private about her real parents and family
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bella Poarch had a meteoric rise to fame with her millions of followers, which she gained after just one year on TikTok. And in May, 2022 the 26-year-old’s viral single 'Build A Bitch' became a #1 hit song that topped all the music charts.
However, despite of massive fan-following and success, she has chosen to keep her family and personal life private. But Why?
Details about Bella Poarch's real parents
In April 2020, Bella uploaded her first TikTok video. Since then, she has rapidly gained popularity on the platform and even created the most-liked video ever. Poarch's biological parents were both Filipino (name unknown). Until the age of 3, Bella lived in slums with her grandmother until being adopted, as she revealed on the H3 Podcast in June 2021.
Bella's stepfather (name not revealed), a former American serviceman who had created a farm in the Philippines with her adoptive mother, made her and her adopted brother work on the farm. According to Bella, he would strike her if he didn't like the work she was doing.
During the podcast she said, "It was very hard actually because I had to wake up at 4:00 am every morning. Sometimes, I had to wake up at 3 am."
Poarch added, "And I have to clean up real good because my stepdad would get mad at me. He'd be like, 'Oh you're not eating breakfast if you don't get this done.' He usually just checks the yard and… if he sees, like, a poop in the ground, you don't eat breakfast. Sometimes he [would] just slap me."
Her adoptive mother is Filipino. Before relocating to the Philippines, her adoptive parents first met in Saudi Arabia, where her father was stationed.
She recounted how her adoptive sisters weren't treated equally to her. Poarch also claimed that her mother stayed out of her father's verbal and physical abuse.
Prior to the family's transfer to Texas when she was 13 since her father needed bypass surgery, her family, with the sole exception of her two elder sisters who continue to reside in the Philippines, moved to San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt.
Bella Poarch filed for divorce from her husband Tyler
Bella Poarch filed for divorce from her husband Tyler, in November 2022. Her fans were surprised as she requested no spousal support and keeping her last name.
Aside from Bella's secret marriage, fans were surprised when they discovered that her surname is not Poarch, but rather the surname of her husband. The singer's real name is Denarie Bautista Taylor. The singer had maried Tyler in 2019, according to court documents.
The 'Build a B***h' singer said that after she left the military, her then boyfriend (who was not Tyler) broke up with her on email which said, “I’m sorry, but I’m unable to do this any longer. I’m ending our relationship."
Poarch revealed that when she enlisted, she was very naive and "didn't know anything about starting a relationship."
