A Utah mom's conduct in a hospital room where her baby was admitted for a respiratory condition recently became the foreground of social media drama. People on the Internet, a section, to be precise, were dismayed after popular family TikToker and YouTuber Whitney Leavitt decided to participate in a popular challenge. She did an upbeat dance to a remix of Khaled and Nicki Minaj's song 'I Wanna Be With You' which is quite popular on TikTok. She continued to share a couple of more dancing videos, including the one where she was seen twerking for the camera during a fleeting dance routine. These videos sparked an outcry on social media with people weighing in with opinions similar to "what has the world come to?"

This is not the first time that a TikTok mom's video has sparked controversy. In May, a mother was seen pressing her six-year-old kid about gender. The video featured a little girl in a park and an unidentified woman who happened to be the mother pointed the camera at the child's face and asked, "Are you a boy or a girl?" In another TikTok video that became viral, a mother Katarina Rodriguez was seen punishing her five-year-old kid by making him run in 104-degree weather for his lack of attention in school. 'Teen Mom' alum Jenelle Evans and her problematic husband David Eason were slammed for doing a raunchy dance on Thanksgiving the video for which was shared on Instagram reels.

Whitney Leavitt says 'I was just being positive'

Leavitt's videos had amassed millions of views on Twitter and TikTok combined. Along with the views came the opinions, leaving her affected to the point that she had to take them down from her feed. She then posted another video where she appeared to be devastated by how her video was being received by people. "I understand that people are upset with the video that I made. I just want to be clear and communicate that that was just me trying to be positive. I think it's important to not just assume what's someone going through. Anyways I took the video down because I could see where somebody could get the wrong idea. But that honestly was just me trying to be positive in this situation. I do want to say thank you for people who have reached out to me and my family. I really appreciate that."

Leavitt is a mom of two kids - a daughter Sedona and her son Lee who was admitted to the hospital. Sharing the dance video, Leavitt added a text inlay on the video that read "Lil lee was taken in cause of low oxygen, he tested positive for RSV, waiting for him to breathe better on his own.โ€ It was then that she was called out for her behavior which many said was for chasing clout. "My child is probably dying. Let me check. Maybe he'll stay alive for 30 secs more. Cool. Time to record a Tik Tok Video," read a tweet. "Narcissistic disorder of some sort," wrote another. "Someone had better be calling CPS. Because if this isn't a sign that this child is going to be neglected in favor of TikTok fame I don't know what is," tweeted a third.
