LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Hand Prop Room, located at 5700 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, California, where Britney Spears alleges she rented her iconic dancing knives, is witnessing a significant increase in sales as a result of the publicity, as per TMZ.

Deputies from the Los Angeles Police Department paid the 'Toxic' singer a visit for a welfare check on Wednesday, September 27 after she posted a series of dancing videos in which she appeared to flaunt her knife-wielding talents.

Now the prop shop says the shout-out by the "Princess of Pop" in the caption of her Instagram post has contributed to bringing the business out of financial ruin.  

How did Britney Spears' fake knife post save the Hand Prop Room?

Britney Spears recently took to Instagram to share a video of herself dancing with what seemed to be real knives. She emphasized the fakeness of the blades in the description of her photo and noted that her team had leased them from the Hand Prop Room in Los Angeles.

No wonder, the prop shop was significantly impacted by Spears' shout-out. As per the business, they have been having financial difficulties due to the writers' and performers' strikes, which resulted in fewer rentals.

However, following Britney's post, the store experienced a sharp rise in web traffic and phone calls, with demand for knives having a surge of 50%.

Calls from customers asking if they could rent the same knives as the pop sensation flooded the sales department at the prop shop, as per TMZ.

The Hand Prop Room has been committed to offering the best products and outstanding customer service to "all of our clients for over four decades," as per their website.

Fans hail Britney Spears for being one reason to save the Hand Prop Room

The news that Hand Prop Room's manager believes Britney is partly responsible for saving the store sparked an immediate reaction on the Internet.

A user said on X (formerly Twitter), "Britney Spears is a gift to the world. She helps people without even knowing she is helping them!"

"Britney just found a new calling. She should start holding knives/items for other store owners too, to boost their sales," noted another. 

"Britney Spears' influence is incredible omg," wrote one, while a person mentioned, "And to think everyone was on her neck when she dropped the video.. that’s my queen right there!"
