ARLINGTON, TEXAS: 'My 600-lb Life' Season 12, episode 5, titled 'Rose's Journey,' featured Rosanne "Rose" Perrine, a lady who wished to alter her life for both physical and emotional reasons. Her time on the TLC show was certainly not without its ups and downs, but she showed a dedication that won the hearts of many in the crowd.

Rose from 'My 600-lb Life' is no longer active on Facebook, so it's unknown where she is. Yet, despite various setbacks throughout her weight reduction efforts, she never regained weight.

Rose took Dr Younan Nowzaradan's, aka Dr Now's, word for it and comprehended the job, demonstrating that she had more than enough determination. Her ultimate objective was to lose weight and be able to spend more time with her fiancé and 11 grandchildren.

The former Sam Houston High School student remains committed to her family, as seen by the show's portrayal of her affection for her children and grandchildren. Given that her major purpose for losing weight was to be more available for her children and grandchildren, Rose continues to show them love and attention.

However, before she traveled to Houston for the operation, she was given custody of her daughter's children, Abby and Alix, which surprised her because she had not expected to be a mother again at the age of 58. Nevertheless, this responsibility fueled her determination to meet her weight loss objectives.

Who is Rose Perrine on 'My 600-lb Life' Season 12?

Rose lived in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with her family when she began her weight reduction journey on the show. She shared a room with her daughter and resided with her stepson, RJ Hawkins, and daughter-in-law, Samantha "Sam" Kingston.

The latter would assist Rose in many parts of her life. Her family members frequently attempted to assist her in any way they could.

Rose was upset, however, because her weight prevented her from participating in more physical activities with her family. She also said that she resented not being able to accompany her partner, Russell Hawkins, on his lengthy road trips as a truck driver.

Rose was also afraid that her weight was making her heart condition worse. As a result, she decided to seek the services of Dr Now.

What happened to Rose Perrine on 'My 600-lb Life' Season 12?

Rose was accompanied by RJ and Sam on her first journey to Houston, Texas, where she said she hadn't weighed herself in over two decades (last she checked she weighed over 700 lbs). When it was reported that she weighed 564 pounds, Rose stated that she had anticipated weighing more.

Rose began a new diet and workout program following her consultation with Dr Now. For the initial two months, her objective was to lose at least 50 pounds.

She not only continued to exercise, but she was frequently accompanied by her grandchildren, Abby and Alix.

The month-3 check-up indicated that she had dropped to 497 pounds, which pleased everyone. Dr Now even advised her to speak with her cardiologist and confer with him about weight loss surgery.

Nevertheless, Rose had a difficult time in the following months. She had been quite concerned about her approaching operation, particularly because of her cardiac concerns.

As a result, she appears to have begun consuming sweets and loosened her exercise regimen. She was anxious about the next weight check.

Month 5 indicated that she had only lost 492 pounds, which disappointed her greatly, and she confessed frankly to Dr Now.

That being said, she hoped that her move to Houston would help her on her path because she wouldn't have as much access to sweets owing to the absence of youngsters in the house. After receiving approval from her cardiologist, Dr Now requested that Rose reduce an additional 50 pounds.

Her progress was back on track, and she weighed 449 pounds at her Month 7 weigh-in. She was advised that the weight loss operation would take place next month, but that she should continue with her routine and that any further weight reduction would be beneficial.

She had shed an additional 12 pounds by the time her surgery arrived in Month 9. The operation was effective, and Rose weighed 393 pounds in Month 10.
