Where is 'Poker Face' filmed?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rian Johnson is set to take everyone on a journey that will blow everyone’s minds and keep viewers at the edge of their seats at all times. After a long wait of 10 years, Johnson is finally returning to the small screen with the upcoming Peacock series ‘Poker Face’ starring Natasha Lyonne in the lead role. The case-of-the-week series will primarily focus on a casino worker named Charlie Cale whose life turns upside down when she gets to know about a deadly crime that forces her to be on the run.
The series follows the ‘howcatchthem’ format, also known as an inverted detective story, in which the crime is shown or described in the beginning, usually including the identity of the perpetrator. The story then describes the detective's attempt to solve the mystery. This is the first time Johnson is coming out with a title in the aforementioned genre and fans are expecting another banger.

When will Rian Johnson's 'Poker Face' release on Peacock?
In his earlier movies, we have seen Johnson shooting in spectacular locations and giving viewers ideas on where they can go to have a nice holiday. For ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’, he went to shoot on a beautiful island in Greece and made everyone fall in love with the gorgeous place. It will be interesting to see how Johnson and his crew have searched for places that could fit perfectly with the moody atmosphere.
So, where was the show filmed? Let’s take a look at locations where the Peacock series was shot.
Ulster County – New York
New York has always been a prime location for shooting and Johnson has taken full advantage of its beauty and rawness. Some of the most pivotal sequences are shot in Ulster County, a county that can be found along the Hudson River in the state of New York.
Orange County – New York
This is one country that has been used a lot of times to shoot several projects in the past. Orange County is a part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown metropolitan statistical area and is situated in New York’s Mid-Hudson Region of the Hudson Valley Area. Just like every other production, the team of ‘Poker Face’ also established its camp at Umbra of Newburgh in the city of Newburgh. It is an NYS-qualified production facility that is home to four round stages of different sizes. The facility also includes a scenic/construction area to build sets, lighting equipment, green rooms, wardrobe rooms, and plenty of parking for crew and additional trailers.
Middletown – New York
Middletown is the largest city in Orange County and lies in New York’s Hudson Valley region, near the Wallkill River. A lot of titles such as ‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things’ (2020), ‘Sudden Death’ (1995), ‘Handsome Harry’ (2009), and more.
Albuquerque – New Mexico
It was Rian Johnson who revealed that the cast and crew of ‘Poker Face’ are in New Mexico to shoot the series. The series went on to shoot some of the most important sequences in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which has turned out to be a great location for filming in recent years. Albuquerque, also known as Duke City, is the most populous city in New Mexico. Located in the high desert, Albuquerque enjoys more than 310 days of annual sunshine, keeping film crews on schedule with limited weather-induced delays.
In recent years, acclaimed titles like ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Better Call Saul’, ‘The Cleaning Lady’, ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4, ‘Army of the Dead’, ‘The Last Stand’ and more have been shot in Albuquerque, making it one of the prominent places for shooting.
Other Locations
Apart from all the aforementioned places, the series shot several sequences in places situated throughout the Hudson Valley. Locations like Accord, New Paltz, Olivebridge, Beacon, Garrison, Middletown, Newburgh, New Windsor, Poughkeepsie, and Walden were used to film many of the show’s sequences.
