UPDATE: Lisa Kudrow is reportedly not going to adopt her late 'FRIENDS' co-star Matthew Perry’s beloved dog Alfred as a source confirmed to People that he did not own a pooch at the time of his death.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After 'Friends' star Matthew Perry's tragic death, his close friend and 'Friends' co-star Lisa Kudrow is reportedly considering adopting his beloved dog Alfred.
The 54-year-old actor, who played Chandler Bing on the popular sitcom, was allegedly found dead of an apparent drowning at his LA residence on Saturday, October 28, 2023, TMZ reported.
Drowning has been named as a likely cause of the actor's death, although this has not been confirmed, with an autopsy set to take place soon.
On Sunday, Perry’s body was released to his family so they could arrange his funeral after his untimely demise. Now, it has been claimed that his close pal Kudrow and other cast members of ‘Friends’ will also be attending his upcoming services.
"Lisa and [the] cast will all be attending his services,” a source known to Kudrow told Daily Mail.
The insider also revealed that Kudrow, who played Phoebe in the iconic comedy, is considering taking care of Perry’s dog Alfred. "Lisa is also considering taking in his beloved dog Alfred,” the source continued.
The ‘Serving Sara’ actor introduced his fans to Alfred on Instagram in 2021. "This is me and [Alfred]. Who's cuter? Don't answer that,” he wrote alongside a heart-warming picture.
He later teased alongside a photo of Alfred wearing a crown, "We all know who rules the Perry household even without the crown."

Lisa Kudrow 'baffled' over her Matthew Perry's death
The source continued that a ‘baffled’ Kudrow believes Perry may have taken some of his prescribed medication which may not have been suitable to take before entering hot water.
“Although no one wants to believe it was medication - prescribed or not - of course that is a thought in their minds,” the tipster said, adding, “They are thinking he must have taken something that did not mix with the warm water.”
In his most recent interviews, Perry insisted he was clean despite being upfront about his struggles with alcohol and opioid addictions.
TMZ reported that prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medicine were found in his home and that investigators did not find any illegal drugs.
Perry’s ‘Friends’ co-stars, including Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, are said to be "reeling" following the news of his death this week.
"The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother because that's what Matty was - their brother. It's just devastating,” a source told Page Six, adding “It’s just devastating.”
The series, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004, catapulted all six of the actors to international stardom and led to decades-long friendships.
Heart-breaking tributes pour in after Matthew Perry’s death
Following Perry’s death, ‘Friends’ co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, along with executive producer Kevin Bright, said they were "deeply saddened" by the news.
“We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment – not just to his work, but in life as well. He was always the funniest person in the room. More than that, he was the sweetest, with a giving and selfless heart. This truly is The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken,” they said in a joint statement.
His family expressed their "heartbreak" and said, "Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend," in a statement to People magazine.
American actress Gwyneth Paltrow said she had shared a "magical summer" with Perry in the summer of 1993 where they "swam in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, and kissed in a field of long grass."
"He had shot the pilot of Friends but it had not aired yet. He was nervous, hoping his big break was just around the corner. It was. I hope Matthew is at peace at long last. I really do,” Paltrow added.
