However, fans couldn't help but bring up Jackie's real-life daughter, whom they believe he has "neglected" for years due to her sexual orientation.

'I have neglected her'

Jackie Chan's real-life daughter Etta Ng (Xiao Long Nu) made headlines in 2018 when she revealed that she and her girlfriend were facing homelessness due to what she described as their "homophobic" parents. In a 2013 interview, while promoting his movie 'Police Story', Jackie openly acknowledged his past shortcomings as a father, admitting to being neglectful.

"The story touched a part of me, especially during the crying scenes. I can't help myself but break into tears when filming scenes with Tian Jing because it will remind me of my Xiao Long Nu," Jackie had said. "I have neglected her for the longest time." The extent of communication between Jackie and Etta Ng is unclear to the public. However, given Jackie's candid interviews over the years, it is possible that the emotions portrayed in the viral clip were genuine.

'He’s definitely a horrible father'

Meanwhile, people were quick to criticize Jackie for neglecting and disowning his child. "Every time I hear about this man and his children it’s always something awful. Where is Etta Ng now?

In January 2023, Etta Ng made headlines when she publicly stated her refusal to reunite with her mother, former beauty queen Elaine Ng, for Chinese New Year. The 23-year-old reportedly told Hong Kong media, "I’d rather be homeless and eat stale bread than reunite with my mother." Etta was born out of wedlock after Elaine had an affair with Jackie. There have been public disputes between the two, with Etta accusing Elaine of abuse and having a drinking problem. The situation worsened when Etta got married to her Canadian partner, Andi Autumn, in 2018, causing further strain in their relationship. 

In a YouTube video, Etta expressed her frustration with her parents, accusing them of being homophobic and not acknowledging her marriage to Autumn. "We were homeless for a month due to homophobic parents. We’ve gone to the police, we’ve gone to hospitals, food banks, the LGBTQ community shelters and all of them just don’t give a s***," Etta complained. 

In July 2022, Elaine publicly expressed her disapproval of Autumn and denounced her daughter's claims, saying she needs to find a job. "I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work. They shouldn't film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta's father is. People all over the world work hard and don't rely on someone else's fame to get money," she said. In October, a netizen spotted Etta standing in line for free food provided to those in need in Toronto, Canada, where she currently lives with her wife.
