NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The popular ‘Today’ host Dylan Dreyer recently revealed her new adventures amid her absence from the morning show. Dreyer shared a post on her Instagram and made sure to explain her absence to her followers.
In a recent ‘Today’ episode during the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment, hosts Al Roker, Craig Melvin, and Sheinelle Jones welcomed a special anchor, Maria Shriver, who filled in for Dreyer’s absence. Earlier last week, following Fourth of July week, Dreyer took a break from the show to celebrate the holidays with husband Brian Fichera and their three children, Calvin, 5, Oliver, 3 and Russell, 1. She gushed about her vacation on her Instagram as she rocked in a skintight blue T-shirt and white shorts.

Where is Dylan Dreyer?
At the beginning of the expansion of the beloved morning show, Dylan Dreyer's temporary replacement was introduced. Al Roker enthusiastically shared on Wednesday, July 12, “Dylan is off, and we are so thrilled to have our 'Today' special anchor, Maria Shriver!” Expressing her gratitude, Maria, the fill-in host for the ‘Today 3rd Hour’, responded, "I'm so happy to be here.” Meanwhile, ‘Today’ hosts Craig and Sheinelle greeted Maria with smiles, asking about her well-being and how her summer has been. With enthusiasm, the 67-year-old author replied, "I'm with three of my favorite people. I'm great. Summer is great. I was over in Berlin for the Special Olympics, and now I'm here with you. So, I'm having a great summer. I'm feeling great.” Sheinelle sweetly expressed their fondness towards Maria as well, saying, "Well, we love it when you're here!"

Dylan Dreyer’s new adventures
While Maria Shriver filled in as special anchor for NBC News in the New York studio, Dylan Dreyer embarked on a journey to the opposite side of the country. Dylan shared a photo on social media, standing outside an airport with her luggage, shielding her face from the sun with her hand. In the caption, the TV personality revealed that she was heading to a golf tournament in Nevada, scheduled to take place from Wednesday to Sunday. Dylan referred to the event as the "American Century Championship" and playfully described it as "adult summer camp” in the caption, “My caddie (aka @fishlense ) doesn’t start til Friday. @acchampionship [American Century Championship] bound…or as I like to call it adult summer camp!!” She also teased her followers, promising that there would be “more to come from Lake Tahoe.”
Dylan's husband, Brian Fichera, who she also tagged, playfully commented, "Fyi she also hired me as her personal photographer. That's my official title in this particular moment until we hit Reno.” In another Instagram post posted hours ago, Dreyer is notably practicing for the upcoming golf tournament as she posed alongside a bunch of ladies in a snap, along with another snap of her holding a FedEx cup.
