What happened to Kelly and Jade Lyne in 'Botched' Season 8?
When Kelly and Jade initially consulted with Dr Nassif and Dubrow, they both expressed a desire to enhance their buttocks. To convey their goals, they wore butt pants during the consultation. Kelly had her first plastic surgery approximately 14 years ago, opting for a tummy tuck to address a problem area.
At the age of 18, Jade underwent surgery to address what she called "granny b****," characterized by uneven size. Unfortunately, they sagged soon after the recovery from surgery. Jade also shared concerns about rippling when she leans forward, revealing the location of her implant. Dr Dubrow noted during Jade's evaluation that she has very little soft tissue covering the implant.
Jade's buttocks are noted to be somewhat low, with the doctors observing firmness, especially when she flexes them. Kelly, while not having a particularly drooping buttock, expresses a desire for more projection. She also has some extra tissue above the buttocks, creating an uneven appearance.
Dr Dubrow suggests that Kelly might consider liposuction on the flanks to address the square form, taking the fat and injecting it into her buttocks. However, he expresses reservations, noting that this approach may result in looser skin and might not achieve the desired curvaceous appearance. Kelly contemplates the option of a flankplasty, a procedure involving a comprehensive incision around the waist. This extends the tummy tuck to the back, tightening the skin and removing excess fat.
However, Kelly expresses her reluctance, stating, "I'll just stick with the butt pants, so I'm happy." For Jade, Dr Dubrow suggests breast elevation, but it would involve external scars to lift the entire envelope higher. Jade rejects this option, stating, "I've always said I don't want the scars. I'm not willing to do that."
An alternative proposed for Jade is adding volume to her buttocks through filler injections, an option she finds more appealing.
How much do 'Botched' doctors charge the patients?
E! compensates participants on "Botched," which they can use towards their surgeries, as confirmed by the doctors to Allure. The surgeries depicted on the show involve substantial costs in reality.
Dr Dubrow explained the intricacies, stating, "We do extraordinarily difficult, high-risk visual plastic surgery, which is more costly in general because the risks are greater." He noted the use of synthetic materials, adding, "So the procedure, revisional surgery of the type we do, would vary between $30,000 to probably $90,000 or $100,000."
