Kristen Bell is set to return to voice Anna in ‘Frozen 3,’ and she is inviting fans to come along for the journey. On August 12, 2026, the actress shared a series of photos on her Instagram Stories as she gave fans a glimpse of her arriving for recording sessions at Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California, with her dog, Frank. In one picture, he is seen walking inside the building with her, while in another, he is posing in front of concept photos of Anna and Elsa. ‘My temporary admin assistant,’ Bell captioned one of the photos of Frank.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Bell has shared updates about her return to the franchise. In April, she shared an Instagram post of herself and wrote, "Back in the booth" with a snowflake emoji as she tagged the official 'Frozen' account. The post included a selfie from inside the recording studio with overlaying text that read "Icy secrets."

‘Frozen 3’ was announced in February 2026, when Josh Gad, who voices Olaf, began recording his lines for the film. By the time Bell arrived to record her own lines, Gad’s portion was reportedly completed. The rest of the main voice cast is also returning to the franchise. Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa, and Jonathan Groff, who voices Kristoff, are both set to return, along with songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Gad has been incredibly excited to return, telling Good Morning America in June that the third film is the ‘funniest of the three,’ and that it includes ‘unbelievable developments’ for the franchise. As for what those developments might be, Disney has kept details about the project under wraps. As per CBR, interestingly, a synopsis for the film was leaked via Disney’s Consumer Products Division at a launch conference in Shanghai. According to the synopsis, the film sees Elsa and Anna preparing to host the "wedding of the century" in Arendelle, with Anna set to walk down the aisle and embark on "a new magical adventure." The kingdom itself is expecting to welcome a new addition to the royal family. ‘Frozen 3’ is set to debut in U.S. cinemas on November 24, 2027. Disney has also announced that plans for a fourth film are already underway.
