Netflix had to make some minor changes to the ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 6 production schedule. The sixth and final installment of Netflix's fashion comedy is currently filming in France. Unfortunately, one of its stars suffered a car accident. Minnie Driver recently posted a video of herself lying in bed while wearing a neck brace. She revealed in the clip, “Paris update is that I’m actually back in London,” referring to her ‘Paris Update’ Instagram series, in which she posts her daily adventures during the shoot. She shared, “I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben,” but added, “we did get out of it alive.” The T-bone crash occurred while they were “driving on a country road in the middle of France.” Reassuring her fans, she said she's fine and “just got a sprained neck." She added, "I’m really in shock and sort of cry all the time, but I’m going to heal.”

Driver also said that she is “so grateful to be alive.” In the caption, she expressed her gratitude by writing, “Shout out to the van driver who stopped and helped us before the ambulances arrived.” According to Deadline's sources, the accident took place during her time off, not while filming on set. If fans are concerned that this could impact the production of Season 6, they can rest assured that it will not. Driver already had a pre-planned filming break, so the show will work around her injury and will only need to adjust one of her scenes. There will be no delay of several days or any major rescheduling. The actress will return to the set when she recovers and feels healthy. Meanwhile, Driver was first introduced in Season 5 as the recurring character Princess Jane, and she will appear in the upcoming installment as well.

As for ‘Emily in Paris’, filming for the final season began in Greece in May. Production then moved to Monaco and is now taking place in Paris. According to Netflix, “The upcoming season will follow in the well-heeled footsteps of Season 5, which saw Emily (Lily Collins) take a bit of a Roman holiday. In Rome, she’s romanced by Italian cashmere heir Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) — naturally! — before realizing her heart yearns for the home she built in Paris. Meanwhile, Emily’s best friend, Mindy (Ashley Park), gets engaged to her own fashion designer beau, Nicolas de Léon (Paul Forman) — but has a spark with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) that can’t seem to be extinguished.” The release date for ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 6 has not been announced yet. What's known so far is that it will premiere sometime in late 2026.
