The extravagant charms of Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) are set to return on Netflix with 'Emily in Paris' Season 5. The last season left Emily in the middle of major changes, as she moved to Rome to lead Agence Grateau's new office and ignited a romance with Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini). So, if you're also invested in Emily's personal and professional adventures, this season 5 update is for you.

'Emily in Paris' Season 5 is officially returning on Thursday, December 18, 2025, as announced on the show's Instagram post in August 2025. The post teased the Europe-set comeback with the caption, "Benvenuto! The first look images from Emily in Paris are here, and they're serving up a slice of la dolce vita! Season 5 returns on December 18."  Notably, 'Emily in Paris' Season 5 will explore Emily's life after she decides to leave Paris for Rome.

The creator of the show, Darren Star, opened up about the new season to Netflix’s Tudum, explaining, "This season is a tale of two cities: Rome and Paris." Star added, "Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level ... From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can't wait to share where Emily's next chapter takes us." Additionally, the star of the show, Lily Collins, revealed during a Wednesday, December 10, appearance on 'Good Morning America' that Emily will debut an all-new hairstyle in the upcoming season.

As per Red94, an 'Emily in Paris' Season 5 would see two men competing for Emily's attention: Gabriel (played by Lucas Bravo), who finally realizes he wants to be with Emily, and Francheschini's Marcello. "We want Emily to be able to smile without condition," Collins was quoted as saying by the media outlet. Collins also turned heads at the world premiere of 'Emily in Paris' Season 5 on Monday, December 15, channeling Old Hollywood glamour in a plunging black gown, as per Hello! Magazine. She was joined at the Paris event by co-stars Minnie Driver, Ashley Park, and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, all of whom dazzled on the night.

Collins stunned in a black gown with a plunging neckline, velvet ruffle detailing, and sleek accessories, completing the look with diamond jewelry and a slicked-back brunette bob. Driver dazzled in a sparkling gray gown with a structured neckline and chic updo, while Park turned heads in a red strapless corset-style gown with diamond jewelry and glamorous curls. Leroy-Beaulieu made a bold statement in a lacy black minidress with a plunging neckline, dramatic train, and striking accessories. On the other hand, Lucas Bravo looked sharp in a white blazer and tailored black trousers, while Lucien Laviscount turned heads in a burgundy velvet blazer paired with a cream shirt and gold chain.
