LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are all set to release their latest collaboration single ‘Bongos!’, a much anticipated follow-up to 2020's blockbuster "WAP".

Both the rappers shared the news on their Instagram page, with a cover picture featuring the two. They are wearing matching bodysuits, heels, and bracelets in different pastel shades. Moreover, their hair are done playfully up in cotton candy-colored curls.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'Bongos' set to smash records

The song, which will be out on Friday, September 8, is anticipated to smash many records, just like their first one, ‘WAP’ in 2020.

Their 2020 hit song was the first female rap collaboration to debut at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It retained the spot for a month and became an instant sexual anthem, reports People.

How did rappers react to criticism over the 'WAP' song?

'WAP' was controversial because of its explicit lyrics and received criticism from conservative pundits.

Addressing the backlash, Megan Thee Stallion said on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,’ “First of all, I wanna say thank you to Cardi for even putting me on the song.”

“But, I mean, I felt like that was really, like, a little weird. I know the Republicans have been having a bad year and they probably needed to take their frustration out somewhere.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Up’ crooner was unsure about submitting the song for the Grammys for the same reason - ‘negative responses.’

“I need to stop letting the internet control my life,” she said on Jason Lee’s ‘REVOLT’ show. “The internet got me even afraid of winning. That is insane."
