LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pat Sajak, the longtime host of the popular game show ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ known for his engaging and playful banter with contestants and audience recently announced his retirement from the show in a Twitter post. On Monday, June 2, ‘Wheel of Fortune’s charismatic and beloved figure, Pat Sajak revealed that he will retire from the gameshow after 40 years. He has been on the gameshow since 1981 and now the time has come for Pat to step down from his duties. After Sajak’s retirement announcement, there’s no revelation of a host successor yet. This left James, who took $500,000 home after winning ‘Jeopardy! Masters’ open to taking the opportunity to add his own unique perspective when he quote-tweeted the announcement. Shortly after Sajak’s tweet, James responded with a tweet featuring an image of Mike Richards, the former ‘Jeopardy!’ host, superimposed onto a meme depicting someone hiding behind a tree and rubbing their hands together mischievously. Mike was originally named as the first official replacement for Alex, who died in 2020, but unfortunately, didn’t work out.
