LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Internet continues to churn out new trends, and the most recent one is 'brelfie'! Celebrities have already jumped in to join the trend and they are sharing pictures online. What is this new trend all about? Well, 'brelifie' is a picture posted by a woman breastfeeding their baby.

The ‘Rude Boy’ crooner captioned the picture on her Instagram account as she fed her son RZA, “Not ur mama's maternity bras...designed by @badgalriri, approved by baby RZA.” She can be seen wearing an ultra-glossy blowout and dewy makeup.

What is the 'brelifie' trend?

Several celebrities are now part of this trend, which includes Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, and Millie Mackintosh. Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski shared snaps with her son Sylvester, whom she shares with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard. She wore a tie-dye shirt, in the picture and joked, “If it seems like I'm always breastfeeding it's because I am.”

Millie MacKintosh has already been open about her breastfeeding experience. In March, last year, the ‘Made in Chelsea’ star revealed that she was left crying in pain while feeding daughter Aurelia because of mastitis. It is an inflammation of breast tissue that can cause infection and lead to breast pain, warmth and redness, and swelling.

Her daughter, who was three months back then shared her breastfeeding pictures, and wrote a long caption while sharing her struggle, “My breastfeeding journey with Aurelia recently came to an end, at first I had mixed feelings about stopping but now a few weeks have passed I know that for us it was the right time,” reports DailyMail.

It continued, “I really felt the pressure during my first round of mastitis to continue feeding. After mentioning it on social media I was flooded with messages and although there was a lot of support with people sharing different remedies that could help, I really felt the pressure to just keep going even though I was literally crying in pain every time I needed to feed."

'I couldn't get away with subtle feeding in public'

The other member of ‘MIC’ Ashley James had spoken about her breastfeeding journey as well. Sharing the pictures while breastfeeding over her Instagram account, she wrote, “Breastfeeding was something I was slightly apprehensive about because I'd heard it was challenging, but also because my boobs are SO big I felt like I couldn't get away with subtle feeding in public.”

“I know there's so much stigma and judgment around breastfeeding anyway, and the thought of having to get a boob bigger than my baby's head out was a terrifying thought. That said, it was also something I felt quite passionate about trying to do,” she added.

Talking about how it was so troublesome to make other positions work, she added, “I found the first few days really difficult to get Alf in a good position. Between the stitches and the size of my boobs making a lot of positions quite difficult to master…”
