Even as the country eagerly awaits the results of the Georgia runoff elections that will decide the control of the US Senate, netizens had every reason to celebrate as this also meant the return of MSNBC's journalist Steve Kornacki. Prior to this, the journalist rocketed to fame when he was a constant feature in the network's studio after the Presidential Election last year. Although his salary isn't accurately reported, Cheatsheet reckons the journo might earn somewhere between $5-8 million. Bugle 24 estimates his net worth to be $2 million. The Street explains that the 'Morning Joe' show host, Joe Scarborough is worth $25 million and earns an estimated $8 million. 

Kornacki fans were also happy that the journo could contribute to sports when the analyst joined NBC sports on Sunday nights to analyze the playoff chances of football teams. However, it is the Georgia race that will see him do what he originally does with his trademark outfit. Twitter was amped to see Kornacki and had expressed their opinions. "Happy steve Kornacki day to all who celebrate," read one of the tweets which was seconded by multiple fans who tweeted the same. Comedian Leslie Jones was one of the happy faces. Another viewer just summed up the happiness saying: "My mon just left me this voicemail: 'It's election day which means Steve Kornacki at the big board-dig it!' Then she hung up."

Kornacki’s khakis had become the object of fascination and this was not missed by the fans. "Just took my khakis and blue button down out of the dryer!" read a tweet, while another wrote: "1. Iron khaki 2. Adjust glases 3. Wait for election." 

"I got so used to Steve Kornacki doing the analytics for NFL games over the past few weeks, that I almost forgot that doing the analytics for politics was his primary hustle," wrote one of the fans.
