LONDON, ENGLAND: Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the adored and wickedly funny superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the third edition of the well-liked film series, 'Deadpool 3.' The good news for fans is that recent online images of Reynolds filming on the set of the next sequel have surfaced. Pictures taken on the 'Deadpool 3' set show what the 'Merc with a Mouth' will be sporting in the upcoming third installment.

As filming for the third installment of the smash Marvel franchise began, Reynolds, 46, was spotted filming a dramatic car accident scene while donning the famous suit of his character. Reynolds was spotted working on the terrifying collision in the woods while he sported the fabled outfit that transforms the disfigured Wade Wilson into the masked vigilante Deadpool, per Daily Mail.

What is new about red and black suit in 'Deadpool 3'?

The actor was photographed this week in London while filming a vehicle crash scene, and he appeared to be wearing his trademark red and black Deadpool suit. The pictures have received a lot of attention online as expected, which has fans even more excited for the release of 'Deadpool 3.' The outfit appears to be identical to the ones the actor wore in the previous two movies but keen-eyed fans spotted a few minor changes.

Reynolds' Wade Wilson appears to be wearing a considerably brighter red suit this time, and the primary color of his suit appears to be a little more saturated than it was previously. Comparatively, the hero's on-screen attire has typically always had subdued colors while maintaining the character's recognizable red-on-black color design.

'Deadpool 3' gets MCU-sized upgrade from Fox

Although there haven't been many major changes to Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth's costume, it is important to note the minor modifications in the 'Deadpool 3' design. The first thing that stands out is Deadpool's new, intense color palette; gone are the drab, subdued reds of the Fox universe outfit. The colors on this costume stand out like never before, making it appear as though it were taken right from a comic book page.

Other minor modifications are the several things that Deadpool has scattered all over his body. Even with very slight changes from their Fox appearance, most of them seem rather recognizable. The character's legs and chest originally featured black fasteners, but the MCU version of the hero appears to have some gold accents instead.

Additionally, the shoulders of the new suit appear to have undergone a little modification, now resembling shared motorcycle pads rather than the reinforced padded leather of the first two movies. It will be fascinating to see whether this is the sole improvement Deadpool receives in the third installment. Will he also gain a new look suitable for traveling among other worlds, given the rumored multiverse premise of the movie?

'Looks more vibrant'

Keen 'Deadpool' fans didn't fail to notice the newest modifications to Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth's iconic outfit and immediately took to social media to express their excitement. One excited fan wrote on Instagram, "Looks more vibrant, very nice. Wonder if the change will be Wade's choice or if the shift to the MCU and what he'll say about it." A second fan exclaimed, "This suit looks amazing and I can't wait to see this film in theaters on May 3rd 2024 and this is my most anticipated film of 2024 and of all time." A third fan typed, "Clearly seeing that he is Happy in his pants to Film this Movie."

Fans even took to Twitter with one 'Deadpool' fan writing, "It’s got a brighter red and the middle bit of the chest if different but the rest is the same." A second fan wrote, "I’m guessing this version of Deadpool in the MCU doesn’t get into the freak accident and retains his normal look while having a different suit then the one we see from the Fox universe." A third fan exclaimed, "It really Ryan. How a suit hangs on him is how he's feeling. Fit af right there. Get some!" Another excited fan chimed in, "This suit is awesome! I can’t wait to see this one! I went to see the first two in theaters! This will be the ultimate superhero movie!" IMAX wrote, "That suit is looking good, Ryan REDnolds." Another one commented, "Peakkk very different to the first 2 suits but really glad they kept certain aspects on the fox suit." Someone else tweeted, "This suit amps up the vibrance impact visually is a for me.. can't wait for the fall to pull it off myself on a party."

'Deadpool 3' is slated for a global theatrical debut on May 3, 2024.
