The Fire Department of New York issued a $1,000 fine to the 57-year-old Cynthia Nixon for "failure to prevent unnecessary and/or unwarranted alarm(s)" related to false fire alarms at her $4.4 million Kips Bay residence during construction. According to a representative for Nixon, the fines have been contested and paid, but no supporting evidence has been provided to substantiate the claim.
Adding to her financial burden, another alarm incident occurred in January 2022, resulting in an additional $935 fine. Despite her substantial earnings of one million dollars per episode for the SATC reboot, 'And Just Like That,' Nixon allegedly has not settled these fines. Additionally, in March, she was fined another $50 for failing to clean up litter within the 18-inch curb line of her property. According to the report, it has been alleged that she has not paid either of these fines.
