LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Chupa,' directed by Jonas Cuaron, is an upcoming fantasy adventure film, which will be released on Netflix on Friday, April 7, by 26th Street Films. The film stars Demián Bichir, Evan Whitten, Ashley Ciarra and Nickolas Verdugo.

Cuaron realised he could not be entirely faithful to the source material when developing the mythical chupacabra as the centerpiece of his new feature, 'Chupa'. According to Netflix's Tudum, the director's goal was to develop an exceedingly charming monster based on a horrific folklore.
