In May 2023, a fan reportedly asked her about her ethnicity and she claimed she is Native American and Italian, per Reality Blurb.
The Italian part of her ethnicity seems to be from her mother Debra as she has described herself as a "Sicilian/Italian Princess" on Instagram, as reported by Distractify.
On January 5, 2024, the 'Selling Sunset' star posted a clip on her Instagram page to give her followers an inside look into her trip to Mongolia.
"Y’all my trip to Mongolia is finally Live on my YouTube !!!! It was giving game of thrones can’t thank my girl @namuunbattulga enough for bringing us out to experience this as well as the Mongolia ministry of culture and @liverichmedia for being the [goat] of content !!!" she wrote in the caption of the post.
Soon after, netizens began discussing Tiesi's nationality in the comments.
One social media user wrote, "I always wondered what nationality you were. You look so pretty. I always thought you were part Native american. You look it."

When did ‘Selling Sunset’ star Bre Tiesi get emancipated?
Bre and her mother Debra have had a rocky relationship since her formative years.
In Season 6 of the show 'Selling Sunset', the real estate agent talked about her complex relationship with her mother and her emancipation, which took place when she was 15.
At the time, Tiesi confessed, "When I was going into high school, my best friend committed suicide. It just destroyed me. My mom saw and she was like, ‘Oh, no, you gotta go live with your dad.’ She didn’t know what to do with me."
The reality TV star further added, "So I was like, ‘OK, I’m gonna file for emancipation,’ and I did. I divorced my parents, and my dad was like, ‘That’s fine. If you think you can do it, I’ll let you.’"
