LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Days after Bebe Rexha was attacked on stage, the singer-songwriter Ava Max was slapped by a fan while performing in Los Angeles, on Tuesday night, June 20. Even though she was calm after the unfortunate incident, Max posted on social media and wrote, “He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He’s never coming to a show again thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!”

Apparently, the 29-year-old singer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, however, both her parents are originally from Albania, who ran away after the fall of the communist government. She also has an older brother Denis.

What is Ava Max's real name?

Max, who was wearing a glittery blue and black two-piece, was dancing on stage when the incident took place. In the footage, the artist whose real name is Amanda Ava Koci, can be seen jerking backward, but soon retains her composure and continues to perform. Earlier, a concertgoer hit Bebe Rexha with his phone, leaving the singer with a bloodied face. She received three stitches after being rushed to the hospital.

Nicolas Malvagna was recognized as the fan who attacked Bebe Rexha with his phone. Following the incident, an initial arrest was released and ordered to stay away from the singer and he is set to appear on July 31. “As a fan, Mr Malvagna's sole intention was to have Ms Rexha take photos with his phone and return it as a keepsake. 'It was never his intention to injure Ms Rehxa," said his attorney. NYPD spokesperson said, “On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 2200 hours, police were notified of an assault that occurred at the concert space of Pier 17 located at 89 South Street, within the confines of the 1st Precinct. A preliminary investigation on scene determined that a 27-year-old male intentionally threw a cell phone at a 33-year-old female performer on stage, striking her about the face," reports DailyMail.

'First Bebe Rexha now you?'

Social media users and Ava Max's fans reacted strongly to the incident as one user wrote “Im sorry to hear this Ava. People need to learn boundaries.” The second user tweeted, "I don't know what exactly happened but first Bebe Rexha now you? why is violence starting to increase at concerts people are paying to be at? hope you're good <3"

One fan who was among the crowd wrote, and shared a picture with Max, "I was there tonight. The guy rushed on stage at the end right when the last song ended. The security guard tackled him and literally THREW him down the stairs. Wild!!! It happened so fast. You can see here she couldn’t even open her eyes but she STILL did M&G. ILYSM  @AvaMax"
