What is Amazon Luna? Internet abuzz after Sonic announces new games will stream on cloud service
Amazon Luna is evoking quite a bit of curiosity from Twitter users after Sonic announced their new games will be available on the service. However, most are struggling with what Luna is all about, and if it's even real.

What is Amazon Luna?
According to the official website, "Luna, Amazon's cloud gaming service where it's easy to play great games on devices you already own. No waiting for lengthy downloads or updates — just play."
For those who wish to understand what cloud gaming is, "Cloud gaming enables you to play games on devices you already own, without the need to purchase a gaming console or gaming PC. Games live in the cloud, so there are no lengthy downloads, installs, or updates required."
Where is Amazon Luna available?
Luna is available on Windows PC, Mac, Fire TV, and web apps for iPhone, iPad, and select Android phones. The service will allow users to "play screen to screen without missing a step in your game with the Luna Controller." Users must have access to a high-speed internet connection (10 Mbps, 35 Mbps required to play in 4K), compatible game controller, or mouse and keyboard, and supported Windows PC, Mac, Fire TV, iPhone, iPad, or select Android phones.
When will Amazon Luna be available?
Log on to amazon.com/luna to request an early access invitation or download the Luna app on supported Fire TV devices. In order to be eligible for Luna early access, users must have a US Amazon account (not available in Alaska, Hawaii, and some other US territories). Teen/child accounts and business accounts are not currently supported on the service at the moment.
The Luna was unveiled at an Amazon event on 24th September 2020. The company didn't reveal when the service would be available widely but currently, it is only accessible with early access. To know more about the service, click here.
Luna is currently available at an introductory price of $5.99 per month. This price is only for the early access phase. This will allow users to play two games simultaneously at up to 4K/60fps but the latter option will be available on select titles only.
