Is Zoey Dollaz OK? Rapper, 30, injured after being shot multiple times while on his way to Miami strip club

Famous Miami rapper Zoey Dollaz was reportedly shot multiple times while on his way to a strip club in Miami. The 30-year-old, whose real name is Elvis Milford, was shot while driving on the Julia Tuttle Causeway with a female passenger on Wednesday, December 9. The rapper is reportedly hospitalized but is in stable condition.

Miami-based rap journalist. Tony M Centeno took to Twitter and wrote, "My dawg @ZoeyDollaz is a true Soulja. I know he’ll pull through and recover quickly. Praying for him and his family." He further tweeted, "My sources say Zoey is doing fine after he was shot multiple times while on his way to Booby Trap in Miami last night," and "Hopefully he’ll be well enough to tell us what happened in his own words. Personally, I’d feel better hearing it directly from him than an IG blog."



 



 



 

According to a report by NBC Miami, Florida Highway Patrol officials confirmed that the incident took place after midnight when a black Mercedes sedan, which the manager said was being driven by the rapper, entered westbound I-195 from Alton Road. Authorities stated that a silver SUV pulled alongside the Mercedes and someone fired multiple gunshots, hitting the rapper in the leg several times. The female passenger in the car wasn't injured. The Mercedes turned back to Miami Beach and the victims flagged down an officer on 41st Street, officials said. Zoey was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. His manager confirmed that he was shot five times in his leg.

"The victim stated he was coming from a private party in Miami Beach but did not have any altercations prior to the shooting incident," FHP said in a statement. 

On the day of the accident, he posted a throwback picture with his sibling on Instagram recently with the caption: "Happy birthday to my sister! @kittakatstyle I love you thank you for being the bully that bullied every bully I knew lol the toughest girl I know couldn’t nobody touch me If u were around I love you." According to reports, he appeared to be celebrating singer-songwriter Teyana Taylor's birthday on the evening of the incident.

The rapper came to fame in 2015 with the hit 'Blow a Check'. Another well-known song that he performed was called “Love, Money and Bullets.”His song 'Post & Delete' with Chris Brown has more than 10 million YouTube views.
