‘Below Deck Down Under’ star Jenna reveals why Eddy is ‘not the one’ after their date
The latest ‘Below Deck Down Under’ Season 4 Episode 12 featured two cast members, Jenna Woudberg and Eddy Hounsell going on a date. While the two had been looking forward to pursuing their romantic relationship, things didn’t quite go as planned. During her latest ‘Below Deck Down Under After Show’ appearance, Jenna revealed that she was no longer interested in pursuing the relationship. She also shared the reason, stating, “Eddy mentions he doesn’t want kids, and that’s a huge deal for me,” she said. Further, Jenna added, “So, I automatically disconnect and switch off, because as a woman, this is my end goal in life - to have a family and to have the kids.”
During the unseen moment featured on the After Show, Jenna realized that Eddy was not “the one” for her. “It’s a non-negotiable for me. So, I think that’s when I started realizing, ‘Okay, Eddy’s not the one,” she shared. On the other end, Eddy also opened up about why he didn't want to have children while on the After Show. “I’ve got five siblings who are all going to have loads of kids. So in my head, I’ve never liked the idea of having kids. I’ve always just thought of being Plan B: fun uncle,” mentioned Eddy.
Fans must remember that Eddy had been interested in pursuing Jenna romantically for quite some time. It all started with their “on-and-off” flirtation over a few charters. Along with that, viewers must remember that fellow crew member Alesia Harris had also been there, sending him texts and such. But, since the latest Monday episode, Eddy made up his mind about asking Jenna out. Referring to his dating, Eddy shared, “For me, I don’t like to date for the sake of just f**king around dating. Especially now being older…I’m wanting to date to marry.”
Throughout his time on the Bravo show, Eddy had been quite vocal regarding his dating preferences. Earlier, he referred to himself as a “loverboy” and shared that it was scary for him. “I only just this year decided to start getting back into dating after three years. It’s scary. My problem is I’m a loverboy,” confessed Eddy on 'Below Deck Down Under.' He also opened up about how he would “wear my heart on my sleeve," and also talked about his past romantic connection and how it saw into a “lot deeper” than his partner did. “And I just kinda ended up getting hurt from it.” Talking about pursuing Jenna, he stated, “Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen again now.” However, after Jenna learned that Eddy didn't want kids, things didn't work out between them. She said that Eddy was a good guy, but their lives outside the boat didn’t align. She also added that she lived a “very different life” from Eddy.
