What does Weston Cage Coppola do? Nicolas Cage's son blames WGA strike for being unable to pay ex-wife Hila child support
LOS ANGLES, CALIFORNIA: Nicolas Cage' son, Weston, reportedly expressed his inability to make additional support payments to his ex-wife, Hila, to care for their twin daughters. Weston, who aspires to become an actor, cited the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike as the reason behind his financial struggles.
In an attempt to seek leniency from the court, Weston requested a Hollywood opportunity to alleviate the situation. Weston explained that the strike, which aims to secure improved wages, health insurance, and better working conditions for writers, had left him without a job and unable to meet his obligations. Adding to his financial predicament, he disclosed that he was currently unable to pay his attorney, Philip J Marr, and owes him approximately $9,600. "There is currently a strike in my industry and my projects have been canceled. I have exhausted all avenues and have no further source of loans from family or otherwise,” Weston wrote in his filings.
Is Weston Cage Coppola employed?
Weston, born on December 26, 1990, is Cage's eldest child. His mother is actress Christina Fulton, whom Cage was dating at the time.
Weston has pursued a career in both music and acting. Throughout the years, he has been the frontman for two metal bands, Eyes of Noctum and Arsh Anubis, which he had created. He has also made appearances in several of his father's films.

In 2005, he made his debut in 'Lord of War', portraying the character of a helicopter mechanic. Since then, he has acted in a few movies, the most recent being 'Fear and Loathing in Aspen' in 2021.
‘I am disheartened’
Weston ex-wife, Hila, wrote in the court documents, “Nic is allowing his son and the mother of his child to commit despicable deeds against his daughter-in-law and his granddaughters, despite my plea for him to talk some sense into Weston and his promise to ‘take care of us if Wes doesn’t,'" adding, “I am disheartened to see how he is ‘taking care of us’ by funding his son’s litigation to cut me off from any financial support."
Financial records revealed that Weston currently receives a monthly allowance of $5,800 from his family. Additionally, he willingly provides Hila with $2,000 per month in child support, along with additional childcare payments to the mother of his two sons in New Jersey.
As an actor, Weston used to earn an average monthly income of approximately $3,000. However, his earnings have significantly diminished due to the impending shutdown of Hollywood, as the Screen Actors Guild intended to join the WGA writers' strike. In June, his earnings reduced to a mere $1,500.
