Rapper Meek Mill's reply to a Twitter user asking him whether he is a 'neurodivergent' has gone viral on social media. "#askmeek are you neurodivergent?" the user asked him. Mill replied, "We ain’t never use that word in the trenches what’s that?"

According to Forbes Health, "Neurodivergent is a non-medical umbrella term that describes people with variation in their mental functions, and can include conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other neurological or developmental conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)."

Can Meek Mill use the spotlight to ignite a music comeback?

It adds, "Neurodivergence is a concept originally attributed to the 1990s sociologist Judy Singer, a self-advocate with autism who challenged conventional ideas about what is considered normal and abnormal. Singer based much of her analysis on her personal experiences as a child, as she was teased for being different. Her work follows the common theme that "no brain is the same and everyone has a unique combination of abilities and needs." Singer explains that neurodiversity offers society the opportunity to learn more about people whose brains function differently than what is considered typical. It challenges us to think outside the box about how we present information and embrace diversity and differences rather than classify them as problematic.

Harvard Health says neurodiversity is “the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one ‘right’ way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits."

Social media has been trolling Mill for what they believe is his ignorance. "Ask google… in the trenches you bound to have PTSD," one user said. "I'm sure, you are, bro," wrote one user. "Because in the trenches they just call it slow …," wrote another user.

"Is funny when someone say am the Boss but still in trenches make no sense," one user said, while another wrote, "I can’t take you seriously ever since this bro". "Meek..... there is a thing called google," one user said.
