In the initial photograph shared by celebrity tattoo artist MR.K, the 48-year-old actress showcased her new sizable black tattoos that run the length of her middle fingers.
The tattoo artist later shared a new Instagram post to reveal the design of Jolie's new tattoos in a much clearer photo. He also confirmed that Jolie did not shade her ex-husband through the designs and expressed apologies to the actress for any undue stress caused by fan speculation.

After the pictures of the blurred tattoos went viral, one fan speculated that it might be a "F*** Brad" tattoo in reference to the star's acrimonious divorce battle with Pitt, 59, with whom she has six children.
Another user speculated, "Had A \ Brad Time," while one guessed it to be, "F**k you."
However, on Wednesday, August 23, MR.K responded to a fan comment and wrote, "It has NOTHING related with Brad Pitt," in order to clear the rumors.
In his new post, Mr K elucidated the symbolism behind the designs, saying, "First of all, I feel sorry with all the bad speculations and sincerely apologize to @angelinajolie for the stress that might caused her."
He further explained, "This tattoo represents two daggers in a geometric & abstract way / nothing related to religion or cross #angelinajolie #mrktattoo."
