'What about Hunter?': Internet slams Joe Biden for saying Elon Musk's foreign relationships are 'worth being looked at'
WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden said at a White House press conference on Wednesday, November 9, that Elon Musk's “relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at." At the conference, Biden was specifically asked, “Do you think Elon Musk is a threat to US national security and should the US, with the tools you have, investigate his joint acquisition of twitter with foreign governments, which include the Saudis?”
Biden replied, "Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at. Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate -- I’m not suggesting that. I’m suggesting it’s worth being looked at and that’s all I’ll say.”

Musk is not a fan of Biden either, and throughout this year, he has accused the President of ignoring his electric vehicle venture, Tesla, despite its success. He has also alleged that Biden favored legacy automakers and their unions. Musk has actively bashed Democrats and sworn to vote Republican.

Biden's remark is being questioned as his own son Hunter Biden's business dealings are currently being investigated by Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, a prosecutor appointed by former President Donald Trump. Biden has maintained that he has no involvement with his son's international business. Several voicemails, however, showed otherwise. In fact, an earlier report published by the Daily Mail revealed that Biden spoke with Hunter about his business dealings with a Chinese criminal, dubbed the "spy chief of China" by Hunter.
Republican Rep James Comer, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform who will take over investigations if the GOP wins back the majority in November, told the Daily Mail, "It's no surprise Biden officials refuse to answer basic questions about Joe Biden's involvement with Hunter Biden's shady foreign business dealings. Joe Biden claims he never talked to Hunter about these business deals, but evidence continues to mount that Joe Biden is the 'Big Guy' and benefited from the Biden family's transactions. When Republicans take back the House, the Biden Administration won't be allowed to keep hiding information from the American people. We'll use the gavel to get answers."
Biden had reportedly attended a Washington, DC dinner with Hunter's Ukrainian, Kazakh, and Russian business associates in 2015. He also met Jonathan Li, a Chinese business partner of Hunter, when he took his son on a 2013 Air Force 2 trip to China. Biden also reportedly entertained Hunter's Mexican billionaire business partners Carlos Slim and Miguel Aleman Velasco at the White House and the VP's official residence after the trip. More evidence mounted up as emails on Hunter's laptop revealed that he and his father shared a bank account and paid each other's bills. Hunter's business partner Eric Schwerin reportedly did Biden's taxes.
'What about Hunter Biden?'
Social media has bashed Biden for his comment, with one user tweeting, "So Hunter Biden and his dealing with foreign countries should be looked at? Would Joe Biden go on record saying that?" Another said, "What about hunter Biden?" "Biden says Saudi stake in Elon Musk's Twitter deal is 'worth being looked at' as a possible national security threat!?! REALLY?? HOW ABOUT WE LOOK AT YOU & HUNTER'S DEALINGS WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES?!?" one user remarked.
