'No self-awareness whatsoever': Internet roasts Elon Musk's awkward dance at rave party in viral video

CABO, MEXICO: A viral video of Elon Musk awkwardly dancing at a rave party in Mexico has emerged and netizens have rushed to call the Twitter CEO's moves "cringe-worthy." At a Rufus Du Sol concert, he was seen wearing an all-black outfit and grooving to the music with his hands behind his head.

In the footage, the 51-year-old can be spotted dancing with other fellow ravers as disco lights changed colors in the background at the Sundream Baja festival in Cabo, Mexico. The Tesla CEO who wrote and released a track titled 'Don't Doubt Your Vibe' in 2020 is known to be a huge fan of electronic dance music,  according to Daily Mail. In 2022, Musk also released a rap song about the death of a fatally shot gorilla named Harambe. The gorilla was shot dead in 2016 after a boy, three, fell into his enclosure.

The business magnate joked that before his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, he slept "in the car" after his time in Mexico. Two weeks ago, he partied in Cabo at the music festival and then flew to Paris for the official meeting. A day before the rave night, he also attended a trance music event held by Bosnian-German DJ Solomun. On Thursday, May 25, the billionaire was spotted with his son X Æ A-12 while they were returning home in Los Angeles, according to the outlet. 

'Elon Musk’s dancing is even worse than I thought'

Questioning his dancing abilities, social media users slammed the investor for his moves. "Why does he dance with his arms above his head? Is this some kind of RAVE thing???", a Twitter user wrote while another commented, "No self-awareness whatsoever. These awkward rich men can afford dance lessons but they seem oblivious to how ridiculous they look. Musk is a worse dancer than Trump & that's saying something. Yikes, what a cringefest." A third person tweeted, "The video I heard about of Elon Musk’s “dancing” is even worse than I thought."

'He has absolutely no idea how to do it'

"What is he even doing???" one viewer tweeted. Another wrote, "Don't think 'Dancing With the Stars' will be calling anytime soon."  Another user tweeted, "He dances like he runs Twitter. He has absolutely no idea how to do it."
