LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to a recent report by Page Six, friends of former 'The Wendy Williams Show' host, Wendy Williams, are worried about the presence of 'new people' in her life. The insider revealed that although Wendy doesn't have many genuine friends, those who do care for her are apprehensive about her recent acquaintances. The primary concern is that when these new individuals visit her home, they may take advantage of her vulnerable state of mind and access to her valuables.

According to a recent report by OK!, Wendy is reportedly making a major move from her Manhattan penthouse to Los Angeles and has allegedly been selling "all of her belongings" in preparation. As the insider explained, "Wendy is not in the best state of mind so unfortunately people will take advantage of that." Additionally, the source noted that Wendy's jewelry and designer purses are often left lying around, which raises concerns for her close friends.

Williams clarifies sale of possessions

The Sun recently reported that Williams was selling off some of her possessions, including her iconic purple chair, as well as furniture and decor items featured on her show during the lockdown. However, Wendy's representative, Shawn Zanotti, clarified the rumors in a statement. Zanotti explained that Wendy is simply doing some spring cleaning and wants to start a new chapter in her life with new things.

As Zanotti stated, "It's a new chapter for Wendy and she wants new things. This is a common gesture people do, and Wendy is no different." According to the outlet, in addition to her furniture, a variety of unique home decor pieces featured during lockdown while filming her show from home are also included among the items being sold. These developments have emerged just days after the 58-year-old hinted at upcoming projects, including the potential for a reality show.

Alcoholism and health concerns

Wendy Williams raised concern for her well-being when she did not appear on any episode of her show throughout Season 13 due to ongoing health issues, around late September. The former daytime diva spent two months in rehab the previous year after struggling with alcoholism and other health problems. However, in October 2022, her representative confirmed to OK! that "Williams is home and healing after being in a wellness facility since August."

But just days after her return to New York, an insider claimed that Williams was "looking to party" and "clearly there to party." The source added that she had been "randomly texting people looking to party" and had no real friends to keep her grounded. Fast forward to March 2023, and Wendy Williams was reportedly spotted drinking alone at her favorite restaurant, Fresco by Scotto, before heading to The Townhouse, a popular NYC gay hotspot. As OK! reported, her recent behavior is causing concern for those close to her.
