NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The veteran journalist Megyn Kelly has praised rich donors who have now decided to defund top American universities voicing their unequivocal support for Hamas and Palestine in the wake of attacks on Israel.

The former Fox News and NBC star “welcomed” the rich billionaires in the ongoing fight against antisemitism. These rich donors for decades have been giving their money to these educational institutions as grants.

Only recently Jon Huntsman, the former US ambassador to China and Russia, said his family will no longer donate to the University of Pennsylvania after the school’s muted response to Hamas attacks in Israel.

Kelly also read Jonathan Jacobson’s statement on her podcast of him “matching Marc Rowan’s (CEO of Apollo Global Management) challenge of pledging one dollar a year” until the President of the University of Pennsylvania leaves his post for not condemning Hamas’ attack on Israel.

Megyn Kelly ‘welcomes’ rich donors in fight against woke universities

The 52-year-old was quick to point out that law school professors and rich donors have been “simmering” in the past few years as they saw these universities turn into “ideological centers as opposed to places that teach you how to think critically”

Kelly admitted that the Israel-Hamas war and the refusal of some big universities to condemn the Hamas attack have now pushed these rich donors to make a stern decision.

“And this [Hamas’ attack] seems to have pushed a lot of them over to the point where they [donors] are ready to fight. They [donors] are ready to speak out and it’s encouraging,” Kelly said.

She reminded her viewers that it took the extremism of the attacks on Israel for the rich donors to join the fight but she’s glad to have them responding and taking action now against people and universities who support Hamas.

Kelly added, “I don’t mean to lose sight of the fact that we have 1400 dead Israelis that helped get them there, talk about needing something extreme...a lot of us were there but without that but I like you, welcome them to the fight.”

Internet wants defunding US universities to be a ‘nationwide’ movement

Kelly’s words were praised by social media users who acknowledged the role of these rich donors in the fight against antisemitism and Hamas.

One wrote, “Thank you! This should be a nationwide movement. Support Senator Marco Rubio's proposal to defund such universities. We don't need many mega-campuses in the age of remote working.”

“So proud of the leaders in our economic society standing up and holding these anti-Semitic idiots accountable. More need to stand up, please!! You have the power and the platform to make this happen. God is watching and we will be judged on our response”, said another.

An internet user said, “It's about time we fight back, intellectually, mentally, and if possible and necessary, physically. Enough is enough”

A user suggested, “Take away Title IV from the schools that promote all of this stuff. Let these schools use their endowments to pay the tuition of all the students they wish to accept.”

Another one quipped, “Wonderful! We all should stop giving money and attention to anyone who promotes stupidity and evil!”
